I say you have done an amazing job with the GMAT. What country are you from if you don’t mind me asking? Also, I always say: submit your application when it is the strongest. I am not sure how important scholarships are for you or if you will be sponsored by your company, but R4 at this point is very limited in scholarships. I would say take these two months to work on a strong application (there are many essays to write) and submit it for the September intake. Good luck! Keep us posted.

Thankyou! I'm just unsure about the retake. I was waitlisted an then rejected from LBS unfortunately, so the scars have really affected my perspective on the application. I guess mixed messaging about retaking is another thing that has me stumped..

Yea 100% applying for September intake. Learnt my lesson from doing a rush-job on applications before as i honestly believe cramming apps for the few top american schools I applied to was one of the key reasons I didn't put together a great application even though it may have seemed like a great application at the time.

Does anyone know how often the AdCom meets for final decisions? Will the offers be out on a daily basis from now until July 24th?

The offer dates do not always align with the adcom meetings, but as always, till the last day they can come, if you have to make a decission because of another pending offer, comunicate it to your AO to see if they can give you some advance resolution.

Regards,
Pablo

Hi Folks,

I'm torn between whether to slam in an application for Jan intake (now) or hit the GMAT again and just aim for September intake.

The GMAT thing has me umming and arring.

I also enrolled in a couple of third-party courses (mba math & Math for Management) and have been progressing through those, so a September app, assuming i get all the work done, may be slightly stronger.

Don’t mind me asking, what is your score and split?

Have a couple of thoughts in mind.

Insead allows you to submit your application without a GMAT score. Post this, they give you around 45 days to submit the score. You might want to give that a shot in case you are 30 days away from your target score and can manage a rigorous application process simultaneously.

Thought # 2 - Despite all the offers being made, I do think there will be a ton of deferrals and that could increase your chances for the Jan intake even if you are on the waitlist. No one seems sure with placements being impacted for D’19 and J’20, lots of deferrals will happen.

My 2 cents for what it’s worth.

I hope so too. It makes sense we start hearing tomorrow/Thursday as it was with the interview invites last month.

I think you will start hearing next week. Perhaps they are working on final admissions for R2 and then will finalize interview invites for R3 sometime next week. I wish you the best of luck!

Ah ok! Thanks - I thought the above discussions were pertaining to R3 interviews. Didn’t realize they were regarding final decisions for R2 applicants.

Good luck!

Just wait a bit longer!

I guess with the mixed R2 & R3 applications everything will take a little longer, they are still on range.

No worries. Interview notification deadline for R3 is July 31. They usually start sending out invites a week and a few days before that deadline so hang in there. Keep us posted :)

Does anyone know whether rejection would arrive early or only on the July 24th Deadline? I really want closure...

Thanks.
