I'm in quite a pickle at the moment as I have to choose between 3 programs and am not able to decide. I was hoping if some of you could provide your inputs based on several factors and my understanding expressed below: Post-MBA Goal is to work in Internal Strategy at a Fortune 100 company (international reach and opportunities a bonus) in the SE, with back up in Real Estate Finance in the SE. Background working in Financial Services at Bulge bracket banks in NY for 5 years. 1) Emory University, Goizueta Business School - Full Tuition - Atlanta, GA (bigger city than other schools) 2) UNC, Kenan-Flagler Business School - 1/2 Scholarship - Good reputation for Real Estate 3) Virginia, Darden Business School - No Scholarship - Better overall reputation than other options - Emphasis on Academics/Case-study Now I have to choose between them. I have family in Atlanta, but will be happy finding post MBA opportunities in VA/NC or elsewhere in the Mid-Atlantic/SE. The most important factors to me in recruitment are the job opportunities, while limiting any debt. If I can find equally as great of opportunities in Atlanta while going to Emory v. Darden, I would be content with going to Emory, however, my understanding is that this may be more difficult. If anyone can throw light on this dilemna, it'll be great.

^^absolutely agree! At the end of the day these are just opinions and there is no wrong answer. Its more about which option are you more comfortable with. There is no wrong decision here.

Guys, I really appreciate the feedback. I've decided that the decision is between Darden and Goizueta. I've been speaking with current students and alumni at both schools, and the opinions are consistent with the points that you all have brought up. I've reached out to Darden to see if additional funding can be provided.

I fought hard before to get a internship/job offer at a bulge-bracket bank in NY from a non-target school in the SE, so I believe I understand what it means to work harder to be competitive for more highly regarded roles/roles at highly regarding companies if I were to attend Goizueta, but I also understand getting my foot in the door will be harder from Goizueta. I do love the idea of the curriculum at UVA and the feedback I've heard for having an academically rigorous program and generating strong candidates for LDP/internal strategy roles.

I also created a DCF, but there is a lot of intangibles that are tough to forecast, so not really leaning on this much...

I'll keep y'all posted on the progress, but if anything else comes to mind that may be helpful, please feel free to share.
