There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
The class starting January 2021 is actually the class that was supposed to start next month. The start date got pushed back to January due to COVID-19. This means for 6 months there will be 2 MSx classes there at the time time.

Did most of the admits accept the July to January delay?
Hadamard, Once you are accepted to MSx program, usually how many days/weeks do you get to accept the offer of admission & pay the deposit to secure your spot. For example, the decisions of R1 application are out on 10-Dec-20, when would be the initial deposit due roughly? As you are a current student in MSx Program, I believe you would be the right person to answer this question
Hey all, please excuse my silly question. A person applying only to MSX round 1 has a deadline of 15 October right? If there are 2 separate applications for the regular MBA and the MSX programs, why is there a different deadline of 15 September?
I am planning to apply only to MSX round 1, so hopefully, October 15 would be the final deadline.
There is an option when starting your application to choose which round you are applying for and which course, so choosing round 1 MBA and Msx joint application means you will need to submit by 15th sep (because i guess the mba has an earlier deadline) or round1 msx where in you would have an oct15 deadline.
I have another question, if someone could help answer. If I applied to the regular 2-year MBA and got dinged, would I be a re-applicant for the MSX program? Or every program is treated differently?
Would be considered as reapplicant I would think. Like other schools Stanford doesn't have a specific change in application or an added essay that needs answering for reapplicants vs first time applications, just a question as part of application that asks whether you have applied to MBA or MSx programs before, and if yes, which cohort did you apply to. Nothing more. I am not sure how the individual programs perceive this or how they use this data (for example if someone indicated they were reapplying here, maybe someone else could elaborate)
