Actually it was a very short conversation. He mentioned he wanted to give good news to some applicants given the especial year we've all had and that I would be getting an email today with more info.

I am a R2 applicant, I believe they meant we will get dates and decision timeliness for the process in a week not actual decisions. Hope this helps

Agree. I think the same. It would be crazy if they revert back with the initial steps with in a week form the submission deadline :)

Nikhil, it was a confirmatory email that one has successfully submitted the application for R2 and next steps in the process will be communicated in a week's time. Haven't heard anything further.
I agree with the previous post that it was probably just meant to set timelines for indicative dates for the process Not actual decisions.

They have sent an email to all today saying R2 interviews will be from March 10 to 19. So if you don't get an interview invite by March 10th then you won't be admitted in this round.

Surprisingly, they have said in the mail don't submit any additional supporting information. Your application speaks for itself.

I always thought important developments like promotion/job loss, change in company, new test scores, etc need to be reported
