I just noticed below on Stanford MSx program page, I believe this is for the 1st time that Stanford MSx will intake 2 batches of MSx in 2021. Any comments!

I’m a R0 applicant and curious if anyone out there or on this board is in the same situation. They are supposed to be doing invitations this week. Curious if anyone has any experience with the norm for Stanford. Do they typically allocate a seven day window and leave everyone on pins and needles for the full seven days? Anyways best of luck to everyone out there applying, I’m incredibly excited and nervous.

I was fortunate to have a call with Mike hochleutner prior to the submission where I shared my concerns of not hearing back in time for matriculation of the other program i applied to, so I was told to apply a week before the Aug 12th deadline, which I did, with the promise that I would hear back before 27th. Close to 22nd and I hadnt heard back despite mails and voicemails left, in the last one I left a voicemail requesting to be notified even if it were a rejection. And soon enough next day I got the rejection. You should hear back this week but if no mails until middle of the week, I wouldn't hold my breath. Historically Stanford does wait until the penultimate day to send out a slew of invites, but those are for regular rounds with hundreds of applications(for msx) for the admissions Committee to go through. That shouldn't be the case here, I would put R0 applications below 20 (gmatclub numbers suggest 7) so plenty of time for them to have reviewed applications by now. All the best! I got the round 1 invitation to interview on the last day. I believe everyone received it on the same day. In the email, was a link to a calendar to choose your time slot for your interview. Good luck! Posted from my mobile device

Thanks for your reply. So what happened last time is everyone was invited on the last day of the invite window? Dang - sure wish they'd have just said a hard and fast date like "We will invite you by Sept 7" not we "We are sending out invites August 30 through Sept 7" which implies that there are waves of invites. Maybe I'm reading too much into it. It's nice when folks set clear expectations instead of wide windows of time like this.

So far no word from Stanford MSX for me. Please post if you hear something and I’ll do the same. I’m guessing at this point it may be Monday next week given that’s the previous round’s experience. Thanks for posting - it’s nice to hear from others who are waiting as well. I’d get really worried if folks were all raising their hands claiming to have gotten invites.
