I'm in exactly the same situation.
why would they wait to send rejections until the initial notification date? maybe we are on the border line and they wait for more applicants to compare with?

Hi, I got the invitation via email but it went into the ’Promotions’ category in gmail. Kinda risky coz one tends to barely skim through that section. So maybe watch out for that and also keep checking the portal

I had my interview today and the adcom director told me to expect to hear back within 3-4 weeks, so perhaps just a few more days!
