Hi everyone,

Have 2 queries on the NUS application, if someone can help to address please:

I will be submitting my application for NUS R2 tomorrow, however:

1) R2 Deadline being 17th, is it okay for my recommender to submit the LOR post the deadline, since the validity of the link he has received is till 23rd?

2) I wish to apply for the ADB scholarship. Although I have highlighted the same in the scholarship questionnaire section, as per the NUS website and the guideline for the scholarship, I will be mailing them for the same separately. However, at this stage, is it okay to fill "ADB-Japan Scholarship" in the "Source of Finance" section of the NUS application or do I need to showcase my alternative source of finance since currently I am not holding the scholarship?

If anyone can help on the above pointers,

Thanks!

1. It is okay for the recommendation to be submitted after 17th if you are fine with missing this rounding and applying in the next round. However, if you want to be considered for this round then you will have to ensure that your application is complete before the deadline and that includes the recommendations.

2. NUS states that its scholarships are scarce and it is not advisable to solely rely on them for funding, so I would suggest you mention an alternate source of funds. Also, love the confidence but you should actually keep a Plan B handy in case the scholarship doesn't work out.

Hope this helps

The deadline is 11:59PM Singapore time. Though try not to make it last minute because at times the application fee payment can have issues and take some time.

Thanks @Amir10101,That was helpful!

Actually, On point 2, I did not mean to sound confident on receiving the scholarship but wanted to confirm if mentioning the funding in the "Source of Finance" would be needed as an expression of interest there as well :)

Thanks for the clarification!

Hi, I have a query. In the academics, it mentions that we don’t need to mention the pre university degree. So that means we don’t have to specify our 10th and 12th percentage anywhere?
