'public interest having at least three founders' does not make any sense. A is out. 'no financial profit with at least three founders' changes meaning, B is out. E loses out on parellelism. Between C and D, C is more concise and clear. C is the correct option.

(E) one that has at least three founders, no financial profit, and it is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
_______________________________
Meaning is important to solve the question. Let's take a look at answer choices.
A - '' having at least three founders.. '' it is not accepted in most of the cases in gmat and also it alters the intended meaning. A is out.
B - ''is'' seems to be parallel with earns. one that earns ... and is dedicated - Lets keep it.
C - this answer choice implies parallelism with verbs '' earns .., and is dedicated..'' , but first part of the sentence doesnt contain a verb . We basically need to give more info about the ''organisation'' not ''association'' in this context.
D - good parallelism . '' has at least.., is dedicated.., and earns ...'' - lets keep it.
E - Parallelism is distorted.

Between B and D . B is a better choice as it gives more precise meaning than D does.
Hope it helps.

eliminate each choice that uses one because it is better to use organization.
Hence only A and C are left.
C is over A because the structure of sentence is not vague.

in A the modifier of having at least 3 founders seems to place the wrong place

It's an organization and one is not the right word to use. Eliminate B D and E. C is parallel and clear than A. C is the answer.

Answer D

(A) an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit -----improperly arranged
(B) one that earns no financial profit with at least three founders and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest----- no financial profit with atleast three founders doesn't convey the right meaning well
(C) an organization with at least three founders, earns no financial profit, and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest ------ organization repeated twice
(D) one that has at least three founders, is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest, and earns no financial profit ----- correct all clauses logically arranged
(E) one that has at least three founders, no financial profit, and it is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest ----- third clause should have 'and is' not 'and it is'

(B) The sentence in this option means that a non-profit association is one that earns no financial profit with three founders (implying it may or may not earn profit if the no. of founders is other than 3). OUT.
(C) Correctly conveys the intended meaning. CORRECT.
(D) one that has....but what is "one". The proper noun "organization" is missing to which that should point. OUT.

The Answer is C
Statement A uses wrong tense and is not parallel in structure.
statement B uses one which is wrong and is not parallel in structure
Statement C uses a logical sentence structure and is parallel. Hence Correct
Statement D uses one and wrong tenses and is not parallel
Statement E is not parallel and doesn't convey the logical meaning of the sentence.

In Sweden, a non-profit association is an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit.

(A) an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit
Incorrect. Word 'having' is incorrectly placed suggesting as if public interest has 3 founders.

(B) one that earns no financial profit with at least three founders and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
Incorrect. The use of 'with' suggests that the association does not earn the profit with the founders, which does not make sense.

(C) an organization with at least three founders, earns no financial profit, and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
Incorrect. The items of the list 'with at least three founders, earns no financial profit,...' are not parallel.

(D) one that has at least three founders, is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest, and earns no financial profit
Correct. This choice correctly uses the parallel items and conveys proper meaning.

(E) one that has at least three founders, no financial profit, and it is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
Incorrect. The items of the list 'one that has at least three founders, (one that has)no financial profit, and it is dedicated' are not parallel.

In Sweden, a non-profit association is an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit.

1. An organization vs One
If we replace ONE with its antecedent, sentence becomes "In Sweden, a non-profit association is a non-profit association that.....". Awkward and wordy. So an organization is better suited.

(A) an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit: Parallelism not followed between having and earns.
(B) one that earns no financial profit with at least three founders and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest: Incorrect due to point 1.
(C) an organization with at least three founders, earns no financial profit, and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest: Correct, presents intended meaning in concise format without grammatical errors.
(D) one that has at least three founders, is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest, and earns no financial profit: Incorrect due to point 1.
(E) one that has at least three founders, no financial profit, and it is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest: Incorrect due to point 1.

IMO C.

1st split: 'an organization' vs. 'one that'. Here one refers to 'a non-profit association', and it should be 'the one that'. Hence, B,D, and E are out.

(A) an organization dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest having at least three founders and earns no financial profit.
awkward position of having phrase, it must refer to the term 'an organization' [INCORRECT]

(B) one that earns no financial profit with at least three founders and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
prepositional phrase 'with at least three founders' erroneously refer to financial profit rather than to association. [INCORRECT]

(C) an organization with at least three founders, earns no financial profit, and is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
Correct use of the prepositional phrase, modifiers, and parallel verbs. [CORRECT]

(D) one that has at least three founders, is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest, and earns no financial profit
Repetition of IS. [INCORRECT]

(E) one that has at least three founders, no financial profit, and it is dedicated to either the welfare of its members or the public interest
Repetition of pronoun. [INCORRECT]
