Hi! Great question, happy to share some thoughts on Kellogg's MMM vs FT MBA.
MMM -
Pros: There’s a strong focus on design thinking, innovation, and user-centric strategy, and therefore it’s a great fit for product management, innovation consulting, or leadership roles in design-forward companies (like Apple, IDEO, Amazon).
Cons: It’s slightly more niche and may not add much value if you’re focused solely on traditional finance or consulting. The tuition and workload are also higher due to it being a dual degree program.
Full-Time MBA (at any top B-school):
Pros: Broader brand recognition across all industries and functions. Some schools offer a very flexible curriculum (unlike MMM), allowing deep dives into specific areas like finance, ops, marketing, etc. You will potentially also have access to a wider alumni network depending on the school. And then, naturally, duration is shorter and and cheaper if you're comparing to dual-degree options. If you're aiming for traditional roles in MBB consulting, IB, or corp dev, a standard FT MBA will be more efficient.
Cons: Generally not much focus on design or product innovation unless you customize your experience through electives, clubs etc.
Would love to hear what others are thinking too!
