Hi all,
I've followed this post and I know that a larger number of invitations are expected around mid-November (from past years)...but while I know speculation is futile, I can't help but wonder how Stanford is considering interviews compared to Harvard/Wharton.
We have speculated on the Harvard and Wharton threads how each school releases interviews (and did not reach a "conclusion", clearly). To me, though, Stanford's invitations are the most difficult to gauge - and painful because it seems as if each day some come in. I honestly would rather they come in waves on specified days - instead I get hopeful every time an email comes in for the rest of the month!
I know people say that you can get invited close to the deadline and still be accepted, but I wonder if anyone has heard (i.e. from alumni, etc.) of how the interviews are evaluated. Sandy on the BW Forum has mentioned that they actually go through the apps in detail to try to put together a coherent class - and that is why they trickle. I'm sure they must sort the apps into certain categories vs. no particular order.
I'm not asking to open a discussion based on speculation..but whether someone may actually have heard of how this is done. Again, just satisfying the painful curiosity as I wait for an email.
