I'm going to be unpopular and suggest that app numbers are up but class size remains the same. So accepted % might be a tad lower!

Well, the numbers could be down, too. They extended the open interview period. Obviously, wild guessing here :)

it could be more applicants reporting their status this year than prior because gmatclub is gaining more popularity among bshcool applicants.
I see similar increase in other schools' thread this year.

Good point - the only logical thing to do is create scenario analysis. If the model for the applicant table is sub 100 on rows we can be sure we probably aren't doing this right.

I'm inclined to believe this theory. According to this Poets and Quants article applications went up from 2,502 to 2,680 (7.1% increase). However, GMATClub participation went up from 233 to 308 (32.2% increase). I do think that the R3 number is a bit high causing the ratios to be off in our 2016 scenario, however I stand behind my EA & R1 projections. (I personally think that more people get admitted from GMATClub but fail to identify. I think those individuals that get involved have a higher chance of getting in...correlation not causation though.)

Greetings from a Tuckie on the Tech Trek in San Fancisco!

It'll be ok guys! This waiting part is the worst. Not only do I feel your pain from last year, but I'm also in the waiting process for the closed interview lists for internships for this summer. Alas, this soon will also pass. Although the good part about the intern thing is that I still have a shot even if I'm not on the closed list thanks to the bid system.

I approve of the fantastic gifs and DecSci (what is DecSci? A class in Decision Science that is part of the first year curriculum and a final I just completed) models to predict how many acceptances.

In the meantime, we're in this together:

And if you get in:

And if you don't:

Go ahead and:

Or even a little of this:

Just steer clear of:

Any more interview invites? One thing I don't understand is that Tuck Adcom insist interview invites can go out up until the decision deadline Dec 18, but then they also render the decision that day. How would a EA candidate schedule an interview and be evaluated if this is the case?

Tuckies love to do things such as skiing and hiking. If you’re mostly an indoor person, would that impede your social life at Tuck? What do you guys think?
