Thanks guys! My last official GMAT score was 640. It was badly skewed, however. 97th percentile on Verbal and only 35 percentile on Quant. ANY improvement on quant would be great! There are some questions that I do not understand at all. I have already finished all of the Manhattan books as well as Total Math GMAT book.

So far I have completed all OG problems according to three of the five math Manhattan Guides: number categories, algebra, and fractions, percents, decimals. My overall average for problems in each category is about 75%. What percent should I be striving for before completing a mock test? Some of the questions that I have been missing are due to mental error while others are simply too difficult for me.

Thanks!

Jose
Totally depends on what score you are aiming at..

Besides, once you do a chapter in MGMAT book and try OG problems for particular topic, the accuracy usually is on the higher end.. Because you know what concept the question is testing... So factor that in...

35th percentile gives you lot of room to improve..and 97th percentile helps anyway/ any day to achieve whatever is your target score

If you are looking at 700, I guess with 75% accuracy on OG quant and 97ish verbal level, you are already there.. Try a mock test...

Thanks. I will try one this Saturday. The 75th percent accuracy may be a bit high given that I did complete some of the questions before (about three months ago) when I was studying for my previous take. Thanks for the reply. I still have 230 additional official questions to work with from GMAT Prep.
