Hi Anaisha1234,

I also agree with ash124 that official CATs are pretty consistent with a real test. However, I have read a good number of posts in which candidates report huge differences in scores between the CATs and a real test, so real a test involves a few factors such as, timing, level of stress, and test management approach.

Best Wishes!

One important question - Did you encounter questions that you have solved beforehand during your preparation? If the answer is no then you needn't worry and continue giving mocks.

In mock 4 I got one question from SC that I already solved before on gmatclub. That was all.

Hey, i have been in same boat as you. Got 740 and 770 in mocks 3 and 4. Got 760 in final exam.
Mock 4 is known to be on easier side anyway, but still good enough.

And if you are good at quant like me, you will indeed find it easy and finish up well before time, so do not worry about that. Knowing i have lot of time, i intentionally go slow on initial quant questions to avoid silly mistakes, perhaps you can do same.

Hi Anaisha1234,

The most realistic CATs available are the 6 from GMAC, but there are a variety of factors that can impact your performance on a CAT (and on the Official GMAT) including the type of Exam that you're using, the time of day that you start the Exam, the testing conditions, how well-rested you are, etc. In addition, the 'pool' of questions that comes with each CAT is considerably smaller than the pool of available questions that you could face on your Official GMAT - meaning that you could be 'tested' on a concept that you know, but in a way that you might not have thought about before. This doesn't necessarily mean that the CATs are 'easier' or that the Official GMAT will be 'harder', but you shouldn't expect every question that you will see on the Official GMAT to look exactly like the questions that you took on any particular practice CAT.

If you're now less than a week before your Official GMAT, you should NOT take any more CATs/mocks. The process of taking (and reviewing) a CAT requires a significant amount of energy and effort - and takes time to 'recover' from. This is one of the reasons why you typically should not take more than 1 CAT per week - and your last CAT should be taken about 1 week before Test Day. In this last week, light practice and review would be fine, but you should not do anything too intensive during your studies (NO "cramming" and NO CATs). You'd like be better served by getting some extra rest, so that you can go into Test Day calm, clear-headed and ready to work.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

I think that the difficulty level of these exams is reflective of the GMAT. Also, do you plan to take exams 5 and 6?

The actual GMAT exam has a slightly more difficult Quant section.
