Thanks for sharing.

If you believe you really need the internship, I would suggest you do the two year program. Focus on improving your profile. Consider whether you need to retake the GMAT, and do a review of your previous essays to ensure that you demonstrate fit for the program, and show how it will help you achieve your goals, while leveraging on your current background.

Wish you all the best!

Hi! So to apply to Columbia's J-Term 2022, I believe you have to wait until next year. However, I am debating between a few schools for August (2021) entry and CBS which I would do on either entry. My question is, can I get an acceptance / reject to J-Term 2022 by the time I get these letters for August entries, so as to discard other schools / not, and go with the J-Term 2022?

Thanks!

Hi!

I recenly applied to CBS with no luck (no interview). I did apply quite late, but still.
I was wondering, if I use the same application, what are the chances of getting into J-term? Is it possible to do an internship later on?

Thanks in advance

Regarding the internship, here is a direct quote from CBS site:

"Students who do not want or need an internship may consider beginning their MBA studies in January and completing their second semester of classes during the summer. A January start may be ideal for students who wish to remain in the same industry after graduation or pursue entrepreneurial interests. About 30 percent of our students enter in January."

As for using the same application which did not grant you admission the first time, try thinking about things you can improve. If nothing has changed in terms of your work experience and GMAT score, at least change the essays. Feel free to get in touch for re-application advice, and in any case good luck!
