Would really appreciate a profile assessment.
- Age 31
- GMAT - 730 (Q49 V40)
- Bachelors Degree - civil engineering - Indian institute of technology (gpa - 8.9/10)
- Masters degree - civil engineering - University of Texas at Austin (gpa - 3.8)
- Work exp - 7 years as a subsea engineer at an oil and gas super major working on Deepwater projects; delivered multiple innovative solutions for development of offshore mega projects.
Aiming for top 5 - 8 full time MBA programs in the US and full time program at INSEAD.
Appreciate your responses.

What is your career progress? What are your work related achievements? Career Goals? Extracurricular activities? Leadership stories? How can one assess chances at top 10 schools based on only stats and no qualitative input?
The quality of answers will depend on the quality of questions you ask my friend.
Based only on the stats provided all I can say is bump up your GMAT to at least a 750+.

There aren’t much details in your query, but from the limited information you’ve provided I think your work experience, particularly industry, is a positive from diversity perspective and you can build your narrative on this foundation. Your GMAT score is just about there. Although 31 isn’t too old, you’re hitting the wrong side of the age. You may find this posthelpful in this regard.
