Cost of 1 computer and 1 printer = 1+ 3 = $4

Percent of 1 computer and 1 printer to the total cost of computers and printers = (Cost of 1 computer and 1 printer / Total cost of computers and printers ) x 100
Required amount = $\frac{4}{200}$ x 100 = 2%

I'm a big fan of the plugging in values approach (demonstrated by the two posters above). 
That said, here's an algebraic approach.

Let x = PRICE of 1 printer
So, 3x = PRICE of 1 computer

So, the COST of 20 printers = 20x
And the COST of 60 computers = 60(3x) = 180x

So, the TOTAL cost of 20 printers and 60 computers = 20x + 180x =  200x 
The TOTAL cost of 1 printer and 1 computer = x + 3x =  4x

What percent of the total cost of the purchase was the cost of one computer and one printer?  
 4x / 200x  = 4/200 = 2/100 = 2%

Answer:  A

60*3 + 20*1

= 180 + 20

= 200

= 3+ 1

= 4
