GEF and DEG forms a straight line,which is 180 deg
ang(GEF)+ang(DEG)=180
(x-60)+(x+20)=180
2x=220
x=110
ang(GEF)=x-60
110-60=50
ang(DEG)=x+20
110+20
130

#GREpracticequestion Find the measures, in degrees.jpg

A straight angle has 180 degrees. We see that the sum of angles GEF and DEG is 180 degrees. Solving for x, we have:

x + 20 + x - 60 = 180

2x - 40 = 180

2x = 220

x = 110

So angle GEF = 110 - 60 = 50 degrees, and angle DEG = 110 + 20 = 130 degrees.
