I just read a couple of threads from folks facing a similar decision. I am deciding between Wharton vs. Kellogg, which has offered me a $125K scholarship.
I am all about name and prestige so I was pretty set on Wharton until I read some of the feedback on those other threads and from a mentor of mine. Call it pride, but my main priority is having a reputable name on my resume because people will be seeing it for the rest of my career.
Aside from the brand name, I would like to go into banking/PE. I'm essentially a career changer; I've been dabbling in finance, but my roles have been non-traditional (worked in middle office, at a securities law firm doing research, now in corporate finance). Hence, my career interests in finance, particularly banking, make me lean toward Wharton. Would Kellogg offer me similarly strong opportunities to switch into banking?
I would greatly appreciate feedback! Thank you so much.
