Hi, Everyone!
I need your advice as I do not have a clue about what to do.
Briefly about my profile: male, 30 years old, Russian, 8+ years of W.E. in manufacturing (operations).
I have been admitted by Tepper Business School (with no scholarship). COVID-19 significantly affected my perspectives of traveling to the US this year.
The situation is as follows:
- I cannot apply for a visa since the embassy halted its operation until further notice.
- Russian borders are closed, so even if I had the visa, I wouldn’t be able to leave the country.
- Tepper is going to teach some classes online at least in Fall 2020. What if the second wave of the pandemic will come and turn the program online?
- Tepper presumably is not going to decrease its tuition fees. It means $140k for the hybrid format of learning.
- I cannot choose an apartment because literally, I have no idea what this all is going to look like in the next couple of months.
What is clear is that Tepper offers deferral options – I can secure my spot in Class 2023. However, I am not getting younger and I`ll be 32 by fall 2021.
Please suggest what you would do if you were me. Do I need to make it to Pittsburgh this fall whatever it takes or wait for one more year, hoping that everything is going to come to normal soon?
I hope that
bb can give advice.
Thank you in advance!
