So glad to make your day!

What I mean by ironic is that I use the expression but you in fact seem to be an Iranian feminist.

What I mean by that expression, is that Iranian feminists are quite underrepresented and for that reason, do not face a lot of competition.

Good re: quant courses; I would like to see your verbal increase to 35+.

As I mentioned, HBS in GSB do not offer Merit Scholarships, unfortunately. All their scholarships are done need-based.

Other schools do, however, and factor in the GMAT. This might also be helpful in finding outside funding, see attached.

In a nutshell, you could probably get into GSB with the same quant and better verbal, but do the best you can on the GMAT for scholarships and also, the GMAT is something many employers look at, like consulting and some finance jobs.

Good luck to you -

Hi MBAPrepCoach

Omg you actually made my day.

It is actually very ironic ? i dont think Iranian people apply to Any US business schools anymore (especially after sanctions and recent political issues). My quant based courses( except for all first year courses which i bombed) Are all aboveB+.

Do you think GSB and HBS offer good scholarship for a diverse profile like mine?

Ive already taken a GMAT test my score was 640(Q48, V30) but i can definitely do better if I put more time ( probably a month).

Really excellent profile, you kind of check all the boxes in terms of leadership, contribution, international work experience and decent academics. GPA is a tiny bit low but your major is very difficult.

Sometimes I joke that a particular GMAT score will not we high enough unless they are an Iranian feminist, how ironic is that.

So in a nutshell, you are just going to have to show them that you can get the work done and that's pretty much it. So get a quant score that's in the 70th percentile. And we could relax at a bit if you had B+ or better grades and math subjects in college.

I'm not sure what your goals are but just to keep your options open it's good to do your best on the GMAT, but you can skate by with something significantly less than the class average.

I think I would say 650 is the absolute minimum and chancy, whereas 700 probably a good shot if the quant is good.

HBS in GSB do not offer Merit Scholarships however other schools do, so if you have any interest in MIT or Wharton then you will want to do your best to be even more competitive for those.

I am looking for an admission expert to evaluate my profile please.

I am a 29 year old woman and I am an Iranian-Canadian citizen. Graduated from UBC-Chemical Engineering, GPA 3.3. I am currently working in Iran as a Growth Hacking Manager at one of the top notch and biggest start up companies in Iran. The company is similar to Uber and staffs around 1000 people. I have 6 people( mix of junior analysts and senior team leads) reporting to me. I have 5 years work experience. I have been in this organization for 3 years and for 1 year I worked as an Investment Analyst in the same organization. before this job I was working at another 2 companies in Iran as a consultant. And before I move back to Iran (2015) I worked as a researcher, published a paper, etc for one year in Canada. I am the head of Women In Management club in the company and my hobbies are tennis, paragliding, travel, poker.

I am interested in applying to Stanford -round 1 2021 intake

If there is anything else I should mention please let me know. I am specifically writing this to know what GMAT score will be good enough for me to target.

Hi Everyone,
