I applied to Wharton for class of 2014 and was admitted. I hope that qualifies me to answer this question. The Job Duties description is just that, your job duties. Were you responsible for running monthly reports, selling a certain product line, interfacing with another department, etc? These are the types of things that should be described in this 1600 CHARACTER space. If you are having trouble finding the right words simply look up your job description on your company's HR website. This should not be a repeat of your resume as your resume should be focused on what you ACCOMPLISHED in each job. Did you boost revenue, cut costs, develop a new process, win an award for outstanding results? All of these things should go on your resume. So in summary, the application is the space where you describe what you actually do for a living (it will give context as to the nature of your work), and the resume is where you highlight your achievements. All the Wharton students I've met are quite collaborative. A really good example of this, is that the student body has traditionally voted for grade non disclosure.

Quick question--will self reporting scores slow down application review? Did people arrange for official scores to be sent or can this wait until interview/admit?

Wharton was one of the schools I chose to send my official report so I'm good to go on that front. The school asks you to self report your GMAT, it won't slow down your application at all. Once you are admitted/waitlisted, you will need to send them an official copy. All the best.

The Awards section seems to be repeated in the application. Its once in the General Info section, and then again in the Education section. So if one has an academic award, then do they repeat it on both the places on the application? Please suggest.

I'm definitely applying to Wharton! Awesome school! One of my top 2 choices! I think I'm gonna do Round 2!

Really dumb question here...does anyone know if you need to specify the round you are applying to in Wharton's online system? I started an application a few weeks ago but I've since decided it would be best to submit in round 2. Do I need to do anything in the system, or will it just roll over automatically when I don't submit by the round 1 deadline?
