Realistically can there be any reason an accepted applicant would drop from the program? Like R2 means they applied in Feb and this is March.. What can change in 1.5- 2 Months? So i see slim chances.

No harm in staying on their waitlist, isn’t it? Unless you do not plan to gamble some $$$ for any other admit.
