Hi all, do company sponsored candidates have higher chances of getting through vs self funded candidates?
Posted from my mobile deviceEMBA is an interesting animal.
I don’t know the real or official answer and I’m not sure that anyone besides an admissions member does… but in general, I would say since executive MBA was born, and usually funded by companies, and therefore sponsored candidates, the self funded applicants for somewhat of a minority. I’m not sure what that differential is today a but I would guess funding sources, not a major point of the decision…. My guess is that if they have two candidates, and they are very similar and pretty much, they cannot decide which one of them to take in, I think at the last stage the funding may come into play. But when you are Wharton, I don’t think you worry too much about those types of things.
At the same time, most executive MBA programs are for profit, so it’s a business decision as well 🤷♂️
