I am a dual citizen (Canadian-Lebanese). I plan on applying to Stanford and was wondering whether applying as a Lebanese citizen would give me a better chance.
Also, I took the GMAT as a Canadian because I was worried my Lebanese passport would not be ready in time (I was renewing it) to present at the test center. Will this be an issue if I decide to apply as a Lebanese?

Yes, there's no question that applying as Lebanese makes you more of a 'diversity' candidate than applying as a Canadian. No problem whatsoever that you took the GMAT as a Canadian. Simply state the reason why briefly in an optional essay. I've worked with several successful Lebanese applicants to top schools (both applying from Lebanon and from North America) and would be glad to review your profile: [email protected].
