I may have to run the first prize multiple times and see whose name comes up twice first so that the most deserving member gets it....

Not feeling very comfortable leaving it to a chance....

Based on a quick analysis, this would change the probability distribution as follows:

Bunuel: 15% -> 62%
Shaselai 7% -> 15%
Shrouded1 3.6% -> 4.2%
Sandeep800 2.8% -> 2.6%
suyashjhawar 2.4% -> 2.0%
...
Dreamy 1.5% -> .75%
...
siyer 1.0% -> 0.4%
...
kryzak 0.5% -> 0.08%
...
and so on.

This is an approximation based on the various iterations up to 4 draws, but should be very close to the true picture.

So this approach would definitely put more weight on the top contributors, but luck would still play a role.

this is just speculation though. But if this is what's going to be implemented then pretty much everybody except like a few are screwed over.

Good use of that actuary background :) Bunuel is guarenteed a win if BB uses that draw method.

Financier: You seem to be doing exceedingly well with probability these days. I have a feeling he might, too, but that just defeats why he'd want to enter the contest in the first place. All this assuming, he hasn't changed his mind about the privacy issues after he entered. No clue.
