As my undergrad grades are just around average I knew I needed to score high on the GMAT, deliver a flawless application and improve my english skills drastically to have the slightest chance of admission in a Top 30 program.

I started my MBA journey around March 2016 with the purchase of Kaplan GMAT Premier 2016. I did the pre-test and was devastated: I remember scoring somewhere around 480 and almost threw all my MBA plans overboard..

Knowing that I wouldn't have time to study seriously until February 2017 I installed "GMAT Math Flashcards" and "GMAT Idiom Flashcards" from the Appstore and used them from time to time (forgetting about them for several weeks and months at times..). I also installed Prep4 GMAT (now called Ready4 GMAT) and solved almost all questions of the day from March 2016 to November 2016.

These apps gave me a great fundament and confidence to proceed. I scored 610 (V30, Q40, 2017.2.12) in GMATPrep with just going through the OG verbal part and knew that 650-700 would be a realistic aim for the real exam in April. I signed up for e-gmat and did the SC part. Studied/watched just theory and didn't practice in their practice area. Did also some OG quant and scored a - given I spent so much time on e-gmat verbal - devastating 620 (V30, Q47, 2017.3.11). I sticked to the plan and desperately wanted to finish the e-gmat verbal course which is really long.. I did a crucial mistake: At least for me the verbal course wasn't worth skimming through. I should have defined my weak areas in verbal beforehand and practiced just these.

The e-gmat quant was a side-quest as I felt rather comfortable with quant already. But this side-quest took me to the next level; it is really compact and highly effective for somebody with solid but rusty math skills!

I scored a bit inflated 700 (V40, Q47 2017.4.6) some days before the big day. I went through my quant error log which helped me to achieve 690 (V35, Q49) on exam day. IR went terrible and I scored just 2. AWA 4 which was OK given my english level.

Pro e-gmat:
- great, compact quant section

Contra e-gmat:
- verbal to extensive. focus just on your weak areas and practice practice practice!!!

So how did I get into my dream program?
- Lots of GMAT study (200h+, sadly didn't use e-gmat effectively)
-- Error log
-- Timed OG (I stopped the time for every offline OG question!)

- Around 40 Skype english lessons to improve my fluency

- MBA admission consulting from essaylever.com which offers FANTASTIC value for money. I don't get why others spend thousands of dollars while essaylever.com offers the same for a couple of hundred dollars. They were super efficient, no single minute wasted with smalltalk etc. Sanjay helped me to create kickass essays and his interview sessions shaped my confidence and skills for the final day.

The e-gmat sentence correction course is really good. It helps you a lot, particularly if somebody is a non native speaker. The step by step process that is used by egmat team to solve SC problems is just amazing. It is a must for everyone who is struggling in sentence correction problems. The videos help a person understand each topic in his or her own pace. In addition the Verbal Scholaranium has a very good collection of question in both SC and CR. I would recommend this course to everyone. It surely is the best available course in the market. It helped me to improve my score. Great work by e-gmat team.

I first took my GMAT in 2011 and scored a 600. My score was dismal and I was really upset with my score. However, as I had signed up for the CFA level 1 then I did not have the time to study for my GMAT at that point in time. I was also stuck working in finance pulling in 12 to 14 hour work days.

So I deferred taking my GMAT until I passed my CFA which happened in 2015. Along the way, I also got married and shifted into a new place.

So last year, with 5 years of experience under my belt, I decided now is the time that I have to work towards applying for business school, so I had to do my GMAT once again. I was stuck with my score of 600, which would really ensure that I did not get into any school that I wanted to get into. So I decided to sign up for E-GMAT, I first heard about E-GMAT in 2012. I had signed up for it then but did not really have the time to follow through due to the heavy workload at my workplace, volunteer and family commitments.

But I always remembered that the lessons were easy to follow and the frameworks were really helpful. I didn't need some course with lots of tips and tricks that are hard to remember. So I signed up for the Verbal life prep.

I went through the videos and learnt all the key concepts such as pre-thinking for CR questions, getting immersed in RC Passages and breaking down the sentence into more manageable chunks.

When I first took my GMAT my score was Q41 and V31. However, for my latest attempt, my verbal score improved to 40.

I am going to redo it again and I have signed up for E- GMAT Quant live prep. Wish me luck

I came across the e-gmat verbal randomly while I was looking for online prep course. After going some review, I decided to give it a try.

The course content is very rich, the explanation is detailed. The section is also well-structured, allowing you to combine it with a study plan. For non-native speakers, the explanation on some grammar points are very easy to understand and remember.

It not only explains you the logic behind the question, more importantly, it teaches you the best way to answer the similar question. You will get a lot of practice questions right after each video tutorial so that you could practice what you've just learned.

I took one test before and about to take my next one. For my mock test, I've increased an average of 100 points.

Hi. I bought the verbal online course after 2 unsuccessful attempts at the GMAT. e GMAT has now given me confidence to approach each question by a process. Post completing the SC Course, my focus shifted from grammar to meaning. I was on a lookout for a meaning change in every ques. In CR Prethinking became a handy tool in solving easy and medium ques. Though the tough ques in CR do require more pondering, prethinking helped a lot in reaching the correct answer a lot faster. In RC, practice ques on Scholaranium made paragraph summaries a second nature. Overall, the eGMAT experience has been very fruitful. Scholaranium as a sectional capability improving tool is very effective.

My GMAT Journey Till Date

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement N/A

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

Location Online

My GMAT journey started back in October’15. At that time, my preparation resource was Official Guides, Verbal and Quantitative review, some books and several materials available online for GMAT preparation. Soon after I started my preparation, I felt that my strength is Quant. After couple of weeks of study, I took a mock test in GMAT Prep Software and score in Quant was 47. However, it is not the quant that holds back my GMAT progress, but the verbal. I spent most of the time trying to improve my verbal score and practicing more on verbal, yet I could not get what I wanted. I never felt confident enough in verbal part. The situation did not changed even when I took the GMAT in November’16. I scored Q48 but verbal was a disaster.
Then, it was my time to take a step back and think what went wrong. It took me some time figure out that process of elimination is very important for verbal i.e. only figuring out the right answer is not enough, but figuring out why the wrong answer is wrong is equally important. So, I took some time to research the correct online prep. tool for me and finally, selected E-Gmat Verbal Online prep.
Today, as I get closer to GMAT date again, I feel differently about my verbal strength. Now I feel confident. The E-Gmat verbal online prep helped me a lot to come out from the situation that I had before my first GMAT attempt. This improvement is because of several features in the course.
Firstly, the concepts for each of the section – RC, CR and SC – are clearly explained with examples. It is important to show the concepts and application of the idea at the same time, with GMAT like examples. This course does that pretty well. This approach not only clears doubts and increases understanding of the concept, but also makes the concept stay embedded in your memory. Furthermore, the audio-visual approach of the course engage you in such a manner that you stay focused to lesson, a lot better than a boring lecture.
Secondly, the practice quizzes and concept quizzes right after each lesson helps to get quick feedback on your progress. For an impatient person like me, who is a sucker of quick result, the course worked well for me, at least from that point of view.
But what liked most in this course is its approach towards the wrong answer. Especially in RC and CR, the course provides you concepts on the wrong answer choice as well categorise them into the common traps used by the tentmakers. As a result, I fell a lot more confidant today when solve the questions.
Another feature that helped me a lot with my preparation is the scholarenium platform. This platform helped me to practice a lot with GMAT like question with different difficulty level. Plenty of options are available to customaries the quiz. Sometimes, I take a quiz in the exam setting to see my accuracy level. Other time I can just choose a topic in study mode to evaluate my strength on that topic. The explanation and feedbacks given in this quiz platform is really helpful.
All in all, I can say that E-Gmat verbal online prep helped me to get in better shape for the exam and to build up my confidence in verbal section!!

HI,
I purchased the verbal online course 6 months back. Before the purchase, i was wondering which course to choose and which is the right organization to go with. Then I came across numerous reviews about E-gmat Verbal Online course. I found the reviews very encouraging and planned to attend their free Webinars without wasting any time.
The moment i attended the V- ing & V- ed Modifier fee Webinar, i made my mind to go ahead with the the same. The method i found was very exceptional.
Now when i have gone through about 80% of the course I must say the Verbal can' t be taught in so simplistic way.
The content is very relevant and rightly structured. Each course end quizzes keep you intact and motivated.
Though i have not practiced much on Scholarium, I found it very helpful in revising basics and helpful to concentrate on my speed. The quality of questions is awesome.
I strongly recommend the course and assure that you will feel the difference after the very first Session.
I have my GMAT in a months time and hopeful to touch the horizon.
I wish you all the very best for your preparation.
Regards..Shalesh

Being a non native English speaker, I had a bit of trouble doing SC questions. Then I found out about e-gmat through gmatclub and read the reviews. Seeing many positive reviews, I decided to take the package for sc. Now I can clearly say that I don’t regret y decisions. E-gmat SC course was very clear, I had learned all the concepts easily. Though my verbal score is less, I am pretty sure with a bit of practice and the concepts I learned from egmat will help me achieve a good score. I sincerely thank egmat for this wonderful package

Hi Everyone,
First my background:
I am an indian male with not IT background. As all Non native speakers, i lack skills in Verbal, and there fore it became necessary for me to make up majority of my score by boosting the Quant score.
Prep details:
I went though all the OG questions which one cannot compete in quality and as recommended by most Manhattan Quant guides but i still find my confidence lacking to reach the Q 50/51 highs.

Going though various reviews and bringing my over confidence down i decided to go through a structured course which will boost my confidence to achieve the 49-51 range.

I came across e-gmat quant course after reading various positive reviews on different GMAT Prep forums. First of all i was amazed to see the structure of the course which was very handy and easy to go through. You learn concepts then apply quizzes and later Application test and final ability quizzes. You get no reason in egmat course to not master in every single topic tested in the GMAT.
The live sessions with Rajat, Payal and Krishna were not less than an eye opener. i love the new techniques they taught like : analyzing and breaking down the DS question prior to reaching the options, number properties questions were never so easy to solve with the e-gmat techniques and algebra which has always been a night mare for me, I learnt the importance of bringing all the expressions in the left side of the inequality before breaking them down. This has left me stunned because i never messed up with the +_ signs after applying e-gmat principles in algebra. Also the graphical representation of the equations to solve for x is something i never knew.
I have improved already from Q46 to Q49 in my last GMAT exam and now i am preparing again to score Q50-51 in my next attempt.

This time i am focusing on the Quant scholaranium . This is the Custom test platform by egmat where one can select questions of different topics, different difficulty levels and adjust timings. As a result you also get detailed analysis of the timing and your performance and obviously the question explanations. A question bank of 700+ all level and topic questions is grooming my prep further and finally i feel that i can achieve my target score of Q50-51.

I would definitely recommend this course to all GMAT aspirants .
