E-gmat Verbal - An essential course for your GMAT Prep

My battle with GMAT has probably been one of the longest anyone could ever think of. Back in 2007, I wanted to go for a graduate program and decided to take GMAT. My preparation was based on all the books I could buy and gmatclub tests. After about a year and a half of on-and-off studying and taking the test multiple times, I got 650 (Q49-V31). I was tired of GMAT and decided to pursue my masters with the score I had.
Now, even though I got my masters and a prospective career as an analyst, my passion for school brings me back to GMAT, which is still a long battle for me. However, this time my approach is different. I knew that I need to focus on my verbal to improve my score. Through some recommendations and reviews from members of the gmatclub, I gave e-gmat Verbal Online course a try. So far my experience with it has been great. Different from many other courses that teach tricks and tips on GMAT, e-gmat focuses more on the core skills and the process to tackle each question. These are the points that I like the most about e-gmat. It shows me how going through the basics of the concepts to build a strong foundation and score skills and practicing with the right approach are the way to improve my GMAT verbal. The course has different sections: SC, CR, RC and IR. Each sections explains the concepts in depth. And the approaches taught in each sections are very helpful. I enjoy the CR section the most, especially the process to solve CR questions the course aims to teach. The process totally makes sense to me although it took me some time to change my initial way of solving the question. Interestingly, I also find that I begin to apply what I learn from the CR course to my works. Believe it or not, I get into a habit of determining conclusions and assumptions when in discussions with others.
I see that my verbal skill is improved faster than last time I studied GMAT. By going through each concepts and completing practices associated with the concept, I can solidify my background. By focusing more on the process of solving the question, I can better differentiate the right vs. the wrong choices, helping increase my accuracy. E-gmat also has free webinar discussing about strategies and the like. Those discussions are mind-opening to me. The supporting team is very responsive and helpful. I do feel I have a companion on my GMAT journey with e-gmat and recommend e-gmat Verbal Online to those who would like to improve Verbal skill fast.

I did this course along with e-gmat SC course, while I found the SC course really good and ground gaining, I was not able to grasp the CR concepts well. The method used to crack the CR questions is quite good and took not so long time. And time-factor is very important as far as GMAT exam is concerned. The reason why I might have gained much out of this course can be that I did this course within 6 month of my exam.

Still, the course is very well designed (just like the SC course) and has tests at different levels. I sincerely feel that the method did not work with me, but it might work for others. May be if you are just starting your GMAT prep and are done with CR Bible, and you still have 2-3 months in hand, you can try this course and it can prove beneficial for you!

A course with lots of GMAT hacks

So I joined this course thinking that it'll drastically improve my capabilities for verbal section. While it does teaches you nuances of English grammar along with creating conceptual clarity, the real essence of this course lies in teaching the gmat hacks. The exam is pretty much predictable in terms of what kind of wrong ans choices the creators can put in the exam. egmat has identified all of those pre-hand and have included them in the course. One's job is essentially to internalise these hacks so that when you attempt the real exam, you will be able to spot these errors in a second.
The SC part is the real deal. This will be perhaps the best SC course in the market. For CR, you must complement it with books like PowerScore, Manhattan etc. For RC, you can't do much except from improving your reading skills which will come by practice only.
Ensure that you utiilize the Scholaranium which has a collection of 700+ good quality Verbal questions. It comes with a bit of analytics though I still feel there is a lot of room to grow in terms of improving these features, the analytics bit and overall interface.
It offered few freebies like GMAT Club 6 month access and a 800score.com test series so all in all a real sweet deal!

Verbal Course for Non-native English speaker

After I decided to take GMAT, I was really struggling about what course and strategy I should follow. While my quant was always strong, I was very worried about verbal. Moreover, I am a very procrastinated person that I thought I would not be patient enough to study by books and study hard if I don't have strong pressure. Therefore, after skimming through many reviews, I decided to choose an e-GMAT Verbal online course and it has never made me regret.

As soon as I had registered in eGMAT Verbal Online course, I was provided with a very detailed study plan that I should follow. This is very helpful for procrastinated person like me. I can organize my study day by day and put pressure on me to finish my study. The course is very well organized by providing class about each concept before giving a number question to practices. The videos are very detailed, giving everything from the basics and how to apply this concept to the verbal questions. This helps me to focus on each concept in each class and practice 3-steps strategy to the questions. The three steps strategy is very helpful especially for SCs to get the right answer in the very short time.
The feature I liked most about the e-GMAT course is that I just need to follow step by step and then improve my skills without struggling about what is the best way for me to study. Of course, I would not say it would be the best way to all GMAT tacklers but e-GMAT gives a free-trials and I think after a couple video, you will know the answers.
As my test is coming up in one month, I'll keep you updated about my score.

I enrolled for the eGMAT verbal review a couple of times and in each occasion I saw an improvement of 3/4 points in the verbal section. I jumped from 35 to 39 and 39 to 41 eventually to end up with a 740.

As a non native speaker, the online course helps understand and breakdown the problem for ease of solving. Moreover, it also helps a candidate go in a sequential order to understand / prepare for the exam and then attempt tests/ mocks etc.

I have known several other very close friends use these resources and I am confident that e-GMAT can significantly contribute towards a candidates score improvement esp after the 700 mark.

Great Material for verbal for non-natives!

I studied all the verbal course except IR ( I didn't have the time). Of all the courses, SC section was the most helpful for me. The course consists of many modules, and each module has lecture, basic quiz, advanced quiz, and the list of OG questions testing the concept lectured in the module. By working module by module, I was able to grasp the basic concept and learn to apply the concept.

The way e-gmat explains the grammar concept is thorough and very non-native friendly. I've read SC books from the Manhattan review before, and although the book was overall helpful, there are some concept I could not understand from their explanation. Thanks to e-gmat, I was able to fill the gap.

e-gmat provides answer explanations for OG questions. The answer explanations in the GMAT official guide were sometimes incomprehensive to me, so this feature of e-gmat was really helpful.

Completing all the module took time, but I really think it was worth the effort.

This was my first attempt in GMAT. When I gave my first mock after a month of self study, I scored 610 Q49 V 26. I was somewhat happy with the quant score, but the verbal score gave me a real jolt. I searched for some online courses in GC and based on e-GMAT's rating and review, decided to give it a try. I never regretted that decision. The structured learning pedagogy of e-GMAT right from the basics helped me learn grammar and master reasoning.
There are many students in India, who fear the verbal section, I was one of them. After completing e-GMAT's VLP I felt confident and was to eliminate wrong answers on valid grounds. I would surely recommend this course to anyone who has lived in an environment, where English is sparsely used.
The scholaranium helps you to identify your weakness and gives you opportunity to practice more and track your progress. Krishna Sir and Shraddha Ma'm have provided detailed solutions to all the doubts asked. I learnt a lot from those explanations.
e-GMAT profoundly helped me in improving my verbal score to V38 . I thank e-GMAT team for creating such a wonderful learning platform.

e-GMAT: Best resource for Verbal

During my prep, I had heard that e-GMAT is the best for verbal prep. After using it and taking the GMAT, I can certainly say that it is. For SC, I did not know anything when I started but e-GMAT's course structure really helped me to learn the foundations and all of the required tricks as well. Online-based courses do a really good job explaining and making it engaging so that I don't lose focus. Additionally, the practice questions provided are challenging and really helps to learn and hone the material taught. e-GMAT helped me to get a score of 740 (49Q, 41V). I highly recommend this course to everyone.

e-gmat is literally ALL you will ever need for GMAT verbal preparation. The content provided is not only lucid but also very well structured. GMAT verbal seems like a walk in the park with e-gmat. The practice files along with each concept file helps you validate what you've just learnt. A great way to check if you've managed to grasp a particular concept. Another feature "Scholaranium" further helps you sharpen your verbal ability.
SC content in e-gmat tackles EXACTLY what is needed for the exam. CR content works mainly on building your thinking skills and also teaching you about trap answer choices. RC content provides a great approach which definitely helps build your confidence to tackle GMAT RC passages.
Needless to say, I strongly recommend anyone native or otherwise to definitely subscribe to e-gmat verbal!
