My tryst with gmat started way back in 2013 with MGMAT and a other domestic gmat prep course. I had revised the course several times before the exam but to my dismay I hit 510. It was a terrible experience that the money and great amount of time were wasted.

It took another 2 years for me to come back and start the things all over again. But it was not that easy to get back into the rhythm and I realized that I need to start everything from scratch. As I was in a very confused state, I accidentally bumped into a strategy session by Rajat, courtesy - GMAT CLUB. 2 hours of strategy session unearthed the loopholes in my previous preparation. Immediately I have registered for trial version and within no time I realized that e-gmat is the game changer for me in GMAT prep. I opted for both verbal live prep and quant live prep thereafter.

I should say E-gmat’s learning methodology breaks the monotony of passive learning. A structured and methodical approach towards the each and every concept keeps you engaging and intriguing throughout the learning process. Though I lay hands on manhattan and other distinguished GMAT prep courses, the learning on e-gmat platform is more engaging and even the very difficult concepts effortlessly ensconce into your mind.
Be it 3 step process for sc or verb-ing and verb-ed modifiers, or for that matter every single concept in verbal unfolds a great clarity and takes you closer to better accuracy. The course is very well structured - Study Plan, Content and scholaranium.Importance of Approach to each kind of problem was an eye-opener to me.
The strategy of solving SC by understanding the Meaning and Logic on SC is priceless. It helped me solve all high level problems on SC. It took me a lot of practice initially to understand the importance of this approach. Adapting to it has increased by SC score from 36 to 40.
Couldn't find the resource much useful for CR and RC. I haven't done much practice on scholaranium though.
But after reading so many positive reviews of scholaranium, now I'm tempted to do it before I retake my exam.

With a plethora of information available on the internet on GMAT, I decided with e-gmat after reading a couple of reviews. The quant material is good for people like me who are scoring around Q 25-30 in mock. Just studying this material will give u nearly 10-15 point improvement in quant taking the score to at least Q40-Q45. To score beyond this, you will need material from gmat club, for topics like overlapping sets , co-ordinate geometry etc. I would highly recommend e-gmat quant material, if you are scoring in the range or 30. In addition to this, the free sessions that are made available by the tutors are excellent and help avoid some pitfalls.

With so much information available on GMAT, I did not know where to start. I decided to take GMAT after I resigned my job after 12 years to prepare to welcome my 2nd baby to this world. I ordered Official guide and started solving questions between July and Dec 2015 randomly juggling between my 2 young kids and studying. Most of the times I would get the problem right, but the timing per question was not right.

I tried giving GMAT mock test in Dec and scored a 470. Then I re-solved the official guide and I thought I was good to book a date for exam. When I took another mock exam again in Jan end, the score was again 490. So what went wrong? What happened to my effort put into solving the official guide. This meant, I essentially did not have an approach to solve the problem.

This is when I decided to buy the e-gmat course after going through some reviews. I first bought the quant. This is good for people like me who are scoring around Q25-30 in mock. Just studying this material will give u nearly 10-15 point improvement in quant taking the score to at least Q40-Q45. The verbal material from e-gmat also is very good. It helped me push my verbal score from V 19 to V30. I think the pre thinking and meaning analysis approach is what gives the advantage. They teach from the basics which makes the foundation strong. The material is divided into small sections, so it helps avoid information overload as we can take a logical break after 1 chapter. I highly recommend this material. Sentence Correction and CR material is excellent. RC material can be improved to discuss a little more on the types of passages.


With this e-gmat material, I prepared from Mar to May and gave my GMAT on May 26. I scored 610, nearly a 120 point improvement. I am certainly happy with my progress though I know this score will not take me anywhere.

I took a break and have just started preparing for my 2nd attempt due in Oct. This time I hope to score the magical 700. My revision of verbal has taken my score to V35 in mock! Waiting to revise my quant material. Will keep you posted on how my actual exam goes.

Hi Folks!! I am Zuri, from India, in my first attempt I scored 550 on GMAT 42 in quant & 24 in Verbal, I had used manhattan SC guide, Powerscore CR bible along with OG. These are amazing resources, especially SC guide which has an extensive list of rules that come in handy in identifying the flaw in sentences. I was able to get through with the easy & some medium level questions. However, I couldn't get many hard level questions right & when I saw a sentence which was too long and/or fully underlined, i would be kinda demotivated, which would bring my morale down because I felt SC was the easiest section for me in verbal. I would take more time for CR as well, especially assumption questions & boldface. RC was a nightmare, even in my preps & the actual GMAT I wouldn't have enough time to finish all my verbal questions, so I made it a point that for one of the RC passages I would guess & mark the answers so that i can match the time to answer all the questions.
I decided to try e-gmat Verbal Live Prep because I had seen some reviews about this Verbal course as the best for non-natives. After going through the SC course, I was overwhelmed. The 3-step process is an eye-opener. After understanding the meaning of the sentence & applying the steps in the right away i was able to reduce my "takt time" or turnaround time for every SC question and also I could get most of the even hardest questions right. Its a very comprehensive course covering all the concepts to the depth.
CR course with emphasis on logical structure, prediction, ABC test, negation test, variance test is very strategic & helped me to counter assumptions & most difficult CR passages with ease & save a lot of time too. Finally I could get a hang over RC as well with the systematic reading strategies in the RC course. RC was the most difficult section for me and now I can boldly face it with active reading. The live sessions were very useful with very friendly instructors having great insight & amazing expertise in that particular area. Live session Recordings were also very useful for me as I could go through it whenever required, many times. For every question/query, I could find answers within the exhaustive question banks/blog & also found quick responses from instructors whenever needed. Verbal workshops were accurate predictors of our stand. I have not taken my GMAT again yet, I see a score improvement in my verbal though, in manhattan prep tests i could score 34-36 & in GMAT prep test I could score 32 in a consistent manner, which helped me touch 640 in manhattan & 610 in GMAT prep tests with only verbal score improvement and same quant score. I had also enrolled for two other major GMAT Prep courses as well & attended some free sessions from other courses too and from my experience E-gmat Verbal Live Prep Is the best I can suggest for anybody looking for a breakthrough in GMAT Verbal.

Most of the GMAT takers from India struggle with the verbal section. After exploring on internet I enrolled for E-GMAT verbal course. I bet this is the best Verbal course available for the Non-natives. The way concepts are explained, it help in building a good base. Also what I liked the most is they have categorized the question types in each section and embedding explanation for each question type.
Any doubts were clarified . In all I should say a must for GMAT verbal. I am still to take the actual GMAT again , but now I am confident and in the CATs , I can see the improvement.

I came across e-GMAT through various reviews in Gmatclub forum. I was initially confused between crackverbal and e-GMAT and finally decided to go with e-GMAT after attending one of Rajat's webminars. The course starts with very basics of verbal concepts (subjects & verbs) and goes deep in each of the topic well. Each video starts with a pre assessment to assess your existing skill level and then the concept videos. Finally, there will be an application file where they test you and score your skill learned through the concept videos. If it is below the acceptable grade, then they will suggest you to redo the concepts. There is an additional section for each of the concept which gives selected OG questions related to each of the concept taught. This provides a grip of the topic and how it will be tested in real GMAT.

The methodology is perfect and the concept videos were very clear. Though I couldn't boost so much of my verbal score in real GMAT, whatever I have achieved is mainly due to their course. When my subscription ended about 20 days before the actual exam, I wrote to them asking for an extension. They were kind enough to extend the access to the course for another 3 weeks without any additional cost. I really appreciate their effort to stay supportive till the exam. I found the scholarannium really helpful to identify where exactly we are lacking.

I really recommend the course for non-natives to build strong concepts in verbal.

Enrolling into the e-gmat verbal online score was the best decision during my journey of BeatTheGMAT. Quant has always been my strength, but I was struggling a lot with the Verbal section. I had gone through the Manhattan Verbal guides, GMAT club grammar, OG questions, and Kaplan verbal; my score could not go beyond the 30s, though these materials helped me a lot to reach a score of V35 from V25. Nonetheless, I wanted to be in the 90+ percentile and getting that score seemed daunting till I got access to e-gmat.

I started with the SC section. The foundation built with the extensive practice material, from both OG and others, helped improve my confidence in Verbal. For CR as well, I could build a strong foundation on the concepts with the help of e-gmat. The subtle difference it provides on validity of which statements can be questioned and that of which can not be, saved me from the trap answers that I was falling into most of the times.

It would be an understatement if I only say the scholaranium is a good resource. The practice I could do by keeping a timer in the watch definitely can not match with the real practice session that I could do in scholaranium. It provides a real-time exam mode experience. Daily, I used to do some problems from the scholaranium, choosing the number of questions according to the time availability, and doing so really helped me to increase my score as time management was a critical issue I faced during exams for Verbal.

And finally I reached V40 - the 90+ percentile range !!!
