Like many other non natives, i was also struggling with verbal section. I was certain that i need to put in extra efforts in Verbal to excel in the exam. And with the plethora of resources available online, all convincing you that their course is tailored just for you, it is not easy to decide what would work best for you. But having tried e-GMAT, I can certainly say what worked best for me.
e-GMAT has a unique approach for attacking each verbal question be it SC, CR or RC. The course repeatedly focuses on following a structured approach for solving Verbal questions. It makes the process to identify the correct answer very natural.
You can easily find the SC course has unanimously received high appreciation from many students who have tried it. I would add to it the CR & RC courses are equally elaborate and thorough.
The practice tool Scholaranium is among the best tools available online to practice GMAT like questions. Not only are the the practice questions great but also the analysis are immensely helpful in identifying your weak areas within each section of SC/CR/RC.
I wish they would have more full length practice tests available as part of Scholaranium.
Backed up with a great support team, the e-GMAT course is among the most sought after options available for anyone who is looking for all in all comprehensive course to tackle the verbal section on the GMAT.
I would highly recommend it!
My experience with e-gmat has been phenomenal. The first time I gave the GMAT I got an abysmal 650 with a Q48 and V28 (well I gave no mock tests before the exam and hence I was unpleasantly shocked at the result). While I have always considered myself mathematically challenged, this was the first time I realized that I could do so poorly in Verbal. After completing the exam, I was sure that I was going to retake the exam. This time around, based on a suggestion from a friend, I decided to try out e-gmat. I attended a few free seminars and tried out a few modules on SC. These sessions were quite engrossing and had a fresh approach to deal with the verbal section. The 3 step process is SC was by far the best best best approach to SC that I came across. Initially, one may be skeptical of the amount of time it takes to solve a question, but believe me the approach is potent. My accuracy on OG problems increased significantly which resulted in a consistent improvement in my verbal score. I have also tried out the CR and RC module. The approach to these sections as well was very good. And lastly but definitely the most critical aspect of e-gmat is Scholaranium which is an exceptionally brilliant tool to guage your preparation. This tool helped me identify my weakness and helped me to improve on them. Overall, I recommend egmat verbal to anyone who is a non-native and who is looking for a comprehensive verbal course. Thanks a ton Payal and team for the amazing learning experience.
Some people in GMAT club claim that Manhattan SC and e-gmat courses are the grail for SC. I have to disagree with that since I found many real sentence correction problems on GMAT testing something that both of these courses have not covered. I think the course content needs to be updated. A lot of problems focus on stylistic differences. I also signed up for Quant prep from e-gmat. However, after I finished, the first few lessons, I knew that it was not for me. There were too many theoretical concepts. I found GMAT Quantum to be much more helpful, just my opinion.
E-gmat Scholaranium is the best software to test your ability, gauge your progress and learn the concepts specially of moderate and hard level questions for all the topics.Their collection of questions is really good and the answer explanations are very elaborate and precise. Moreover the software gauges your ability and average response time(TAKT time) really well.According to me it is a MUST DO!!!!! I have tried several other prep companies but none is as good as this one both in terms of content and analysis. All the best to everyone taking the GMAT. Hope you will do well and E-gmat will play an important role in your journey.
e-Gmat gives an immense opportunity to excel in Verbal Section of GMAT. They break each concept into chunks and explain them in an ordered manner that makes it easy to understand and retain.
Specially the audio visual content gives a good learning platform to GMAT aspirants and the best thing I liked about the course is the suggestion they provide for the OG questions.
Also, Experts are very responsive on platforms and provide full support to understand any point that we miss during the course of preparations.
I would highly recommend this course to someone who is really looking forward to excel in GMAT Verbal.
This course helps me to realise my weak areas and improve them, perhaps these weak areas are common for many non- native English speakers and engineers who haven't touched the English verbals since they left the school . e GMAT platform keeps track of my performance and helps me to take corrective actions myself. At one point , i realised that i have to be thorough on verbal basics, at-least on what GMAT tests on. And then, I realise that covering the entire verbal basics myself wont take you any where , as my knowledge on verbals is limited to my knowledge on the same.
I took e-GMAT verbal online course. I found this as the most well structured course for the verbal , starting from basics and covering every major topic. The approach of the instructors make you understand the concepts so easily. Being a non-native, my verbal section was quiet weak in comparison to quant section. E-gmat helped me to revise all my grammar concepts to improve my SC section. The pictorial representation, using stories to build on the concepts, quizzes at the end of every topic helped me to engage myself completely in the topic taught. Their 3-step approach also guided me how to select a correct answer with confidence. In CR section (i found the toughest of the three) , egmat helped me to improve my accuracy using their structured approach.
The perfect analysis after each practice session is very useful to analyse your progress and helps you find the weak areas.
All my queries were timely addressed when posted on the forum and a detailed and apt answer to all my doubts was provided throughout the course.
I think there can be no better course for verbal especially for non native speakers.
I found E-GMAT very useful. The quality of the content delivery is excellent. The course structure for SC was just what I required three weeks into the exam. I credit the E-GMAT study material and the mock tests for helping me achieve a favorable result on the GMAT. I recommend the course to test takers keen on improving their GMAT scores.
Also, the tests were quite challenging and they exposed the weaknesses. I was able to identify my shortcomings and work on overcoming them. The tests helped me to manage my time more efficiently.
I want to thank the entire team at E-GMAT. You guys are doing an awesome job!!
I had already taken GMAT once with a score of 48 in Quant.I wanted to push it up to 50 or more.In addition to the Manhattan guides for quant, i decided to enrol for the e-GMAT Quant online course. The experience has been excellent.Lessons especially on the Number System has been very lucidly presented. The advanced Quant part especially Probability as well P and C is also very useful for conceptual clarity.I especially liked the variety of questions.I hope to improve on my quant score as well as the overall when I will be taking the test next month.I would surely recommend the e-GMAT quant course especially to have clear concepts.
'm a Non-native. My first Gmat Test was 630 (Q50, V28).
You see, I'm quite good at Quant, but terrible at Verbal.
A very first technique I learned in Verbal was split technique and I must say, I was Quite Bad in Starting but after Taking Online Class of Verbal (SC, CR, and RC), my basic concept become clear especially (Grammar Rules).
After Completing Sessions I start Practicing Verbal Question (especially SC), with approach based on Sentence's meaning and 3 step process (Meaning analysis, Error Analysis, Options Analysis).
I observed that Course makes SC seem more easier and Approachable task for me, and the important thing is their approach gives me confidence to tackle SC and CR.
My accuracy start Increasing upto 70-75%, I'm quite happy.
If I want to boost my accuracy to about 80%, I'd know where to focus my time, thanks to their Scholarinium, a great tool to know where your strengths, your weaknesses, your take time. So you'll know you can confidently skips some questions and still get a high score.
And In my Kaplan Test Series I'm Getting Score in Range of 680-700.
