I started my journey with GMAT in March and took the verbal online course. My starting score was 640, which was obtained when I had appeared for in 2017 without any course. I liked the course- the way it simplified and introduced the concepts in a very lucid manner. Also they have amazing scholaranium tools available for practise, which gives a lot of detailed insights about your weak areas.

I ended up with a score of 690 in September. But my target score was 760 and hence I decided to extend my course and retake the GMAT. But unfortunately I ended with a score of 640 the third time.

These are some of the mistakes that I did while taking the course-
Throughout the course I suffered a lot from inconsistency. Also I did not use the course material in the most appropriate manner. I did not maintain an error log in the initial phase of the preparation. Also I had exhausted the scholaranium questions beforehand itself, hence not leaving many questions left when I started studying the right way by maintaining the error log.

Overall review
I did like the simplified manner in which e-gmat provided the course material. Also I feel more knowledgeable after the course as I am able to spot grammar mistakes in sentences.
I feel good about that part. But the fact remains that I wasnt able to achieve anywhere close to my target score.

I found the egmat Verbal to be particularly useful for improving my SC skills. The methodical approach taught by Payal is very intuitive and builds upon the basics step by step. The end of each section concept with official GMAT questions is really helpful in bolstering the concepts learned in the previous lessons. The curriculum for CR is also designed in a way that one instinctively thinks of an assumption before answering any CR question. Once you are familiar with this approach, mastering CR becomes much more easier. Furthemore, Payal also helped analyze my ESR and her timely inputs helped me improve my score in a short period of time. My heartfelt thanks to the team for helping out with GMAT preparation. Best Regards.

I had a time constraint of one month to prepare for the GMAT, but the advantage was that I could devote all my time towards preparation. I picked e-GMAT after seeing many successful reviews on gmatclub.
I opted for the e-GMAT GMAT online package. I scored a 710 on the GMAT.

The e-GMAT verbal course is really good in my opinion. The approach to sentence correction is very fundamentally strong and its application is well explained. The critical reasoning section is solid as well. The pre-thinking approach helped streamline my thoughts towards the exact question and eliminate all incorrect options. The reading comprehension slides however appeared to be outdated, maybe it could do with a re-do to make it at par with the other two sections.

The quant section is where I have my gripe though. The concept files and the application files were very basic. The explanations given in these files were often hard to apply on hard questions without a prior strong level of fundamentals in math. I feel the quant section could be improved a lot.

Scholaranium was a really helpful tool with its vast question bank. I got ample practice in verbal, and thorough analysis on my weaker areas. The quant scholaranium was very good as well, but I didn't use it as much as verbal.

The Sigma-X mocks were great. I would recommend this to anyone studying for their GMAT. The level of score analysis presented at the end of the exam makes it very clear on how to improve oneself.

Overall, I think it is a good course, but I'm not blown away by the content to be honest.

Subscribed to egmat verbal course after scoring 31 in verbal in my first attempt. Just used it for 2 months of preparation since many R1 deadlines were approaching. Sentence correction section is very comprehensive and I could feel the improvement in my approach. I couldn't concentrate much on CR and RC sections due to lack of time. Finally my score improved 34. The score could have been much better, but I think I should've invested some more time in CR and RC. Summary is if you're weak at SC, then go for egmat. If you are looking for RC or CR then all you need is more practice.

I finally got done with the second attempt of GMAT and was relieved to see a satisfactory 720 (Q49, V40) in Aug 2018. Previously, I scored 680 (Q49, V34) in Mar 2018

Reading debriefs on GMAT Club, I decided to purchase the EGMAT Verbal course for three reasons:
1. It allowed me to study at my own pace and style, and
2. The cost was within my budget.
3. Admittedly, I am weak in GMAT Verbal.

After studying for the verbal section and completing Verbal Scholaranium in about 6 months, I took my first GMAT slot for Mar 2018. I scored a 680 (V34, Q49), a score below my target score 700, in this test and didn't feel satisfied.

Having taken a blow, I analysed what went wrong and realised that I had not done any OG questions at all. Learning from my mistakes, I decided to practice all OG questions and to redo all Verbal Scholaranium.

I was satisfied with the 720 (V40, Q49) score on my second GMAT attempt. Key takeaway that I believe to contribute to this 700+score is to always practice lots of questions (OG and Verbal Scholaranium).

Materials referred & recommended:
1. EGMAT Verbal. Don't forget to do all Verbal Scholaranium.
2. GMAT OG

Cheers!

I took the verbal course of E-GMAT last year. I started with Sentence correction. My level of understanding to SC questions increased gradually after completing just 2 modules of it (Subject-verb agreement and Verbs). The explanation given in the videos are very easy and fun to watch. My score on SC increased by E-GMAT only.

For me, the CR section was bit complicated. I was not able to comprehend the argument given in the after tests. Inference module is best but in other sections, I was not getting comfortable.

RC is also good. They basically say to comprehend each and every line slowly. The tactic is very good but not very well for 700 level questions.

Overall, E-GMAT is must for those people who lack the basics and the price for E-GMAT is also affordable.

Hello people!
I encountered with e-GMAT verbal review online courses pretty often. I did not know whether it will work or not. After 2 months' of self-preparation I found out that my score is improving very slowly. I had a major concerns about SC section especially. I decided to buy e-GMAT verbal review course only. This was the best decision I made during my preparation. I myself focused mostly on the SC section considering lack of time for application deadlines of universities. I improved pretty fast. Literally I could do every hard question in less than 2 mins. However, I spent some time on the RC section and I must say I was not getting that same wow result in the RC section. CR section was good as well but again I recommend this course specially to those who suffer from SC section mostly.

After 1 failed attempt, I joined Egmat for Verbal section. I was already acing the quant section, but needed help for verbal section. Egmat has one of the best verbal resources which explains every concept with ease. The best approach is the Pre thinking over each question. While reading you pre think of the possible solution which eliminates majority of the options. If I can do, then anyone can do. Egmat helped me to ace my verbal to an extent where I can confidently apply to B schools and get a scholarship. And the verbal online resources are easy to understand with practice questions which test you for your learning from each part of the video. And not only this helped me in my verbal, but also in my AWA section. The pre thinking approach helped me with analysing the AWA question very quickly and respond with most suitable anaser.

When I first started my GMAT prep a few years ago, I din’t do much research and joined one of the Branded GMAT coaching centers, which only taught the RULES to follow to get an answer correct. I diligently followed their course work and gave my first GMAT and it turned out to be THE BIGGEST DISASTER.
I took a break for a while and then resumed my preparation on my own with the help of GMAT Club, yet I dint see much improvement in my scores and learnings. I then met a buddy in one of the Gmat club's Study Buddy Groups, many thanks to him. This friend told me about E-GMAT, I attended one of its webinars and immediately enrolled with it.
I love the methodical structure and the logical approach of E-GMAT’s material. The explanation of every question is very detailed and lucid.
Verbal – The entire course is programmed in such a way that a beginner can start from basics and end up solving the most difficult question that GMAT can throw at us. The beauty of the course lies in the APPLICATION FILES, PRACTICE FILES, OG FILES, and the files’ explanations. These files have 650-750 level questions and push us to solve every question applying the 3-step Analysis with more ease and diligence.
The 3-Step analysis for CR, RC and SC amazingly worked for me. This approach forces us to stick to the process and which in turn lets us to answer the question correctly and confidently. On the other hand, SCHOLARAIUM is another major platform, which helps in honing our skills.
I would definitely recommend E-GMAT Course.

I was clueless how to approach verbal section of GMAT. At this point, I was rather pretty strong in quant section of GMAT and looked through various reviews to see which company offers best verbal prepration for non native speakers. I looked through the Manhattan SC guide; however, the material is quite hard to digest. I needed a serious help from a company that teaches you from the ground zero. I ended up signing up egmat verbal. Their SC module is pretty thorough. It covers same concept as what you see in Manhattan SC guide, but the concepts are explained in much simpler way. My suggestion is to go through their SC module and supplant your study with Manhattan SC guide afterward.
