The live sessions were great and helped reinforce skills learned in the lectures. The good thing about it is that , these lectures and live sessions give context to the GMAT material so they become more alive and your can absorb it better. I found that when reading the books, it became a bit boring but with visual learning you do absorb the material much better.

I have reviewed verbal course materials from many other sources before I decided to purchase e-GMAT verbal prep. This course definitely designed for non-natives. The course starts with basic fundamentals which I had forgotten over the period of the time. E-GMAT SC course provides step by step guidance on how to crack SC accurately and efficiently. The instructor teaches very well on how to break the sentences / paragraph and take benefit of few other techniques to solve RC, CR. The instructors are very nice and have patience for the students. I found the course is very affordable too. As it’s an online course, it gives me the flexibility to read at my own pace and time.

After enrolling in e-gmat Verbal Live Prep 2 years ago I again signed up (at 50 % cost ) as I wanted to give one more try to GMAT; along with that I signed for e-gmat Quant Live Prep which was not there 2 years back . My last Official GMAT Quant score was 39 (44 in Mocks ) , I found it difficult to increase my GMAT Quant score above 45 . I was preparing my GMAT Quant from Indian CAT books and found some topics such as Inequality , Absolute value , Numbers etc difficult (as they were not covered well ) . After signing up for e-gmat Quant Live Prep I read theory and application files , there is a lot of course material which is new to me ( I did not read from Indian CAT books ). E-gmat people have really done their homework well by covering all the topics adequately , they have also file of topic-wise Official Guide Questions to be solved . I hope to increase my Official Quant Score to 49 to get the optimal GMAT score . I regularly attend live sessions which are very helpful to clear any doubts . I have taken my first gmat in dec 2013 and it was complete disaster . I have scored 17 on verbal and i had completely broken by my performance and i thought of not giving the GMAT again . In the month of april 2015 i again restarted my preparation and after lot of research i have taken E-gmat VLP and quant online course . From day one i was feeling the improvement in SC,RC and CR . E-gmat strategy for SC is very helpful , their course material are also very exhaustive .Live sessions are the application of the concept taught on the concept files . The Verbal Live Prep course is well drafted. The online course provides the flexibility to pace the course as per own needs and time availability.
The course is divided into SC, CR & RC sections with the study plan customized to move ahead in the course. The concepts in each section are well-defined and illustrated with good examples. There are short quizzes pre and post the concept to analyze the learning made. Within the section there are practice tests and quizzes to analyze the progress made whether to go ahead in the course or have a relook on the concepts. Any queries in the understanding can be posted in the forum and the elaborate reply on the same is made well in time.
There are also the Instructor Led Live Sessions in which one should go after going thru the concepts as advised in the study plan and the luminous faculty discusses the GMAT and prototype questions to further clarify the concepts. I am an IITian but after working on repetitive tasks for about 12 years made my sharp brain a bit slow and when I gave some mocks back in 2013 I was very disheartened with my results, That kind of affected my confidence as not only I was not able to go beyond 30-34 in verbal but also couldn't manage 50 in quant and that time I thought I needed a serious plan and material to practice with after analysing my techniques I figured out that my concepts and their application was not spot on and because of that I was wasting a lot of time too. Once I decided to give GMAT, I heard a range of facts and myths related to the preparation. One such myth was that the people, who are either avid readers or native speakers can only get a good score good in verbal section. The fact that I was neither of the two, scared me out of my wits and this thought was somewhere stuck in my head. Even though I tried to learn theory and practiced questions, I was unable to identify the cause of my mistakes. To add to my woes was my inability to sustain my concentration till the end of verbal section. These shortcomings were reflected in my first attempt of GMAT, where I had scored 32 in verbal.

After taking a break of a month, I decided to begin with my prep again. It was during this time one of friends told me about eGMAT verbal course. I attended the free sessions and was impressed with the way the concepts were taught. The sessions were great eye openers, and pretty easy to understand. This prompted me to enroll for eGMAT verbal course.

The course is very well-structured, and helps in understanding of all the concepts, including the tough ones such as modifiers. Though I am pretty comfortable with Quant Section as having an engineering background. But then also I opted for Quant Online Course, and would suggest to have this course as in GMAT it is a test of Higher Order Reasoning Skills. Quant in GMAT is not calculation intensive rather it is logic intensive. At e-GMAT this aspect of Quant is taken care of. Also to mention about Scholaranuim Alpha, it is great tool to assess oneself. So people like me, who think that they are quite good in GMAT Quant, I just suggest that to cover up that extra mile from Q-45/49 to Q-51, it is a good platform to do that.
