I am a Non Native and like majority of the Nonnatives I was also struggling with my Verbal section of GMAT, I never used to pick right answer for right reasons and always believe in those options which sounded correct to my ears and wasn't bothered about subject verb, modifiers, idioms etc.
I was always struggling to pick correct answer, then one day my friend suggested me to go through E-gmat videos and I was awestruck with their approach, I liked their 3 step process - (Analysis of Meaning, Sentence Structure, Options Analysis), their unique way of breaking the complex sentence into small parts suddenly allows you to see small details like subjects, verbs, modifiers, parallel components, etc.
E-gmat Verbal online course with live prep course is great, the beauty about live prep is that if somehow you have missed the live course you can always visit the recordings and ask your doubts from experts.I would definitely recommend the verbal online course along with Live-prep course especially for the nonnatives.
The course is very structured and guide u step by step in strengthening your core concept especially in SC.
the Scholaranium is a great tool as well! it helps me identify my weakness and focus on the part where i really need instead of buying a new book and just go over the same thing. It also allows u to make notes on each questions or sections where it is needed and come back to review those notes when it is needed.
Overall, very useful and helpful platform for those who wants to improve their score and get ahead of the gmat.
I would strongly recommend the Egmat Verbal Live Prep for Sentence Correction, CR and RC sections. The course covers all concepts required for SC in particular very clearly. It also does good justice to the CR and RC concepts that will be tested on the GMAT. After completing the course, I would recommend that you develop a strategy that really works best for you to solve questions right in time( e.g. the way you read and work logically towards a solution may be unique and trying to adapt too much to some other way may reduce your speed and accuracy--I have found this to be true irrespective of the test prep company in the picture) . You will need to practice doing the questions quickly and naturally on your own after the concept building part from egmat. The people at egmat are very helpful and provide free extension services if your situation is genuine useful! The scholaranium is very good for identifying your weaknesses and targeting your preparation accordingly. I found the egmat verbal workship extremely useful as well - this is an excellent gauge of where you stand on the actual test with respect to score and difficulty. I believe it is the best prep source out there for non-native english speakers in particular!
E-GMAT course is the best course I have encountered till date for GMAT preparation. For my first attempt, I took another company's course and was pretty much confident about verbal score. However, I ended up with V28 and was bewildered. Thereafter, I took the E-GMAT Verbal course and it did wonders. In my second attempt, I scored V39. The basic difference between e-GMAT and others lies in its teaching pedagogy. e-GMAT focusses on the meaning of the sentence. This in turn helps to mark the answers more accurately and sensibly in all the 3 types: CR,SC, and RC. e-GMAT verbal not only teaches english for GMAT but also is a very good tool for a good english. I would definitely recommend this course for every non-native as well as native speakers. ITS A TOTAL VALUE FOR MONEY!!
I've started my preparation 1.5 years back and with online series . But I was not regular in my preparation and in between took many breaks. My aim was to achieve 700+. In quant, I reached to 48 but in verbal, able to achieve on 28. After an year, with that preparation I gave GMAT and scored only 660 with only 33 in Verbal. Then after a lot of feedback and online reviews, I took the egmat Verbal online course and started with all the video lectures. This course is the immense important tool to clear the basics and get into the minute details of Verbal. In CR as well, the prethinking technique given by egmat is of immense help to me. My correct percentage has already gone up. The strategy for RC questions also has given me a confidence in attempting short as well as long passages. Then comes the scholarium that I still need to complete. The scholarium is key USP of egmat course and is a helpful tool in achieving high score. I've renewed again egmat so that I can cover all the scholarium tests. I believe if anyone goes through egmat online course word by word, he/she will definitely achieve 38+ in Verbal. Hoping for me as well
Really liked the Magoosh gmat prep course. The questions were very relevant and best were the short video explanations to each question. The explanations really help you improve your concepts. I really liked the short video lessons for on each small relevant topic in quant and verbal. Their customer support team is very prompt and reply to any query/doubt within 24 hours. The website UI/UX is excellent and very smooth to use. I love the way they have set filters to choose which kind of questions to practice. I loved the course. Magoosh really helped me improve my concepts and get a good gmat score.

Like many other non natives, i was also struggling with verbal section. I was certain that i need to put in extra efforts in Verbal to excel in the exam. And with the plethora of resources available online, all convincing you that their course is tailored just for you, it is not easy to decide what would work best for you. But having tried e-GMAT, I can certainly say what worked best for me.
e-GMAT has a unique approach for attacking each verbal question be it SC, CR or RC. The course repeatedly focuses on following a structured approach for solving Verbal questions. It makes the process to identify the correct answer very natural.
You can easily find the SC course has unanimously received high appreciation from many students who have tried it. I would add to it the CR & RC courses are equally elaborate and thorough.
The practice tool Scholaranium is among the best tools available online to practice GMAT like questions. Not only are the the practice questions great but also the analysis are immensely helpful in identifying your weak areas within each section of SC/CR/RC.
I wish they would have more full length practice tests available as part of Scholaranium.
Backed up with a great support team, the e-GMAT course is among the most sought after options available for anyone who is looking for all in all comprehensive course to tackle the verbal section on the GMAT.
I would highly recommend it!
My experience with e-gmat has been phenomenal. The first time I gave the GMAT I got an abysmal 650 with a Q48 and V28 (well I gave no mock tests before the exam and hence I was unpleasantly shocked at the result). While I have always considered myself mathematically challenged, this was the first time I realized that I could do so poorly in Verbal. After completing the exam, I was sure that I was going to retake the exam. This time around, based on a suggestion from a friend, I decided to try out e-gmat. I attended a few free seminars and tried out a few modules on SC. These sessions were quite engrossing and had a fresh approach to deal with the verbal section. The 3 step process is SC was by far the best best best approach to SC that I came across. Initially, one may be skeptical of the amount of time it takes to solve a question, but believe me the approach is potent. My accuracy on OG problems increased significantly which resulted in a consistent improvement in my verbal score. I have also tried out the CR and RC module. The approach to these sections as well was very good. And lastly but definitely the most critical aspect of e-gmat is Scholaranium which is an exceptionally brilliant tool to guage your preparation. This tool helped me identify my weakness and helped me to improve on them. Overall, I recommend egmat verbal to anyone who is a non-native and who is looking for a comprehensive verbal course. Thanks a ton Payal and team for the amazing learning experience.
Some people in GMAT club claim that Manhattan SC and e-gmat courses are the grail for SC. I have to disagree with that since I found many real sentence correction problems on GMAT testing something that both of these courses have not covered. I think the course content needs to be updated. A lot of problems focus on stylistic differences. I also signed up for Quant prep from e-gmat. However, after I finished, the first few lessons, I knew that it was not for me. There were too many theoretical concepts. I found GMAT Quantum to be much more helpful, just my opinion.
E-gmat Scholaranium is the best software to test your ability, gauge your progress and learn the concepts specially of moderate and hard level questions for all the topics.Their collection of questions is really good and the answer explanations are very elaborate and precise. Moreover the software gauges your ability and average response time(TAKT time) really well.According to me it is a MUST DO!!!!! I have tried several other prep companies but none is as good as this one both in terms of content and analysis. All the best to everyone taking the GMAT. Hope you will do well and E-gmat will play an important role in your journey.
