TTP offers the most comprehensive GMAT Study Prep material. I also bought E-Gmat course but TTP Verbal course was much better and helped me understand many concepts in depth and it provides advanced and basic questions for each topic in the verbal section. Also Marty is a great tutor for the verbal section whose tutoring videos are available on youtube. TTP simplifies advanced concepts and helps you improve speed, accuracy and provides simple and efficient strategies for the verbal section. Would definitely recommend anyone wanting to improve their verbal score to choose target test prep. Although I scored a V32 , I would have scored better if I had more time with TTP material but I was satisfied with my overall score due to Q50 which helped me get into MS CS.

I took the GMAT raw thinking I could beat the test and was severely mistaken. I knew a 640 wouldn't get me to where I wanted to go, so I did some research and purchased one of target test prep's packages. After studying for 4 months to complete the course, I took the GMAT again and scored a 750. A 110 point jump. Couldn't have done it on my own. They truly check every box to make sure you know the information and how to apply it. They made it almost impossible for the test to trick me come test day. If you're serious about getting the score you want, I would recommend target test prep.

I really enjoyed studying for GMAT with Target Test Prep. The wide range of questions for various difficulty settings helped me grasp the material first and improve my knowledge even further. I started with almost no knowledge in Verbal and I didn't think I could improve myself significantly in a few months. However, the course prepared me in the best way and I managed to get an even higher score on Verbal than I aimed for. I also loved challenging myself with the hard questions in Quantitative part. The lessons were very understandable and the questions were similar to the ones I encountered in my exam. I owe my success in GMAT mostly to the TTP. If you aim for a high score, I believe that TTP is the best course that will help you achieve your goal.

I scored 600 in my first attempt of GMAT. I decided to I have a call with Piyush from GMATWhiz after reading reveiws in GMAT club. He gave me roadmap of how I can use GMATWhiz for score improvement. Initial lessons on how to read and comprehend a sentence were the change makers in my preparation. After going through them, comprehension improved greately. I was able to hit 90% in SC section with meaning approach. GMATWhiz also provided excellent lessons and practice questions for CR, RC and Quant. Its AI tool provided precise suggestions for improvement. My final score is in the range of score predicted by AI. I was guided by Satyam Gupta who was my mentor. His suggestion during the prep and final tips before exam played crucial role in achieving my score. Thanks to GMATWhiz team!

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

Location Online

Because of high workload (combining full-time job in consulting and finishing my bachelor degree) I was able to start my preparation for GMAT only at the beginning of 2023. At the same time I had to pass the exam in mid February, so that I could have some time for preparing all the other things for the application. This all led to just one month of prep. I wanted to start on January 2, however I needed some time to recover, so I started only on the January 9. I took a vacation at my job for a month, however I still had 3 exams to pass at the university at that period. I completed my first free mock at e-GMAT on the January 9, then purchased the e-GMAT subscription and booked an appointment for GMAT the next day. My exam was set on the February 8, and that’s how my preparation started.
The reason for choosing e-GMAT for me was simple – my mentor with a score of 740 told me that e-GMAT was the best preparation service he used in his prep.
My mock result was 630 (Q47 V29). I knew, that Verbal section was my major weakness (as for many non-native speakers), so I focused on it for the whole prep period. And here comes the first thing I loved about e-GMAT: they provide extremely detailed analysis of your mocks and quizzes. From this analytics I knew, that my skills at RC are ok, but I have a lot to improve in SC & CR.
At this point I started e-GMAT Master Comprehension course. In fact, it solved my major problem: I was reading the questions multiple times but didn’t understand anything. After completing this course I felt a lot more confident as I started to fully understand the questions. Personally, I think this course is a MUST for non-native speakers if they want to achieve high Verbal score.
Then I started SC course. It was very difficult for my to memorize all the concepts in such a short time, however I did it pretty successfully. I should notice here that the approach to solving SC questions was extremely helpful. It gave me a straightforward structured way to solve both mid & hard difficulty questions. After completing the “theory” I moved to “practice”: I completed few quizzes in SC and saw a significant improvement, thanks again to detailed analytics provided.
At this point I had less then 2 weeks to my exam date and started CR course. While reviewing the concepts I understood that this type of questions is easy for me, so I did a review of my first mock again and noticed that my bad score was due to timing failure: I randomly clicked the last questions because of lack of time, which dropped my CR result (at the beginning of the mock I performed very well). That meant that if I fix my timing problems in SC (which I already did) I can already have a better result. This made me more confident, so I “rushed through” the CR “theory part”. I still completed all the course, but I was skipping some parts of videos, when I understood that I already knew these concepts well enough. Then I also did some quizzes and was left with 2 days before the exam. I’ve spent those on refreshing some formulas and approaches for Quant in express manner and took my exam.
So my improvements are:
630 -> 720
Q47 -> Q49
V29 -> V39
In the end I’d like to summarize all the thing I liked at e-GMAT (and that helped me to achieve such improvement in less then a month). The first and the most important thing for such express prep is the fact that e-GMAT is a great one-stop-shop for GMAT: it has theory courses, quizzes, mocks and personalized analytics all in one place. Secondly, courses structure and content are great: these are really MECE, so they provide you with all the concepts you need and do it in a way that you can memorize them fast. Thirdly, the overall quality of materials, UI/UX, tests was great. For me, it plays a great role in overall experience: if you are comfortable with using the tool, you’ll be able to extract maximum value of it, which is totally about e-GMAT. So, I really liked the product, I’m very thankful to the e-GMAT team and my mentor who recommended it to me.

Dear petrlavrenko,

Congratulations on a 90-point improvement to 720😊 What makes this success all the sweeter is that you achieved this feat in less than a month while balancing your university studies and GMAT preparation.

The commendable improvement from a V29 to a V39 in less than 30 days, is proof of your diligence and extraordinary grit. This image shows how by laying a solid foundation and using analytics on the platform, you improved your hard accuracy from 40% to 60% in SC while reducing the overall time taken to 1 min 24 sec

https://success.e-gmat.com/petrlavrenko-SC-Accuracy-Vs-Timing

The methodical approach that you employed to learn concepts and applications in SC helped you save overall time that in turn helped you apply process in CR allowing you to improve to an 80th percentile plus in CR. Refer to this image for the great CR accuracy across all blocks:

https://success.e-gmat.com/petrlavrenkos-CR-Ability

I am glad that after following this meticulous study plan, you were able to improve to 700 in your next SIGma – X mock. Further leveraging the analytical tools on the mock, you were able to identify areas that you need to concentrate on the last two days. This helped you improve to a 720 on your test date. This image here shows this amazing improvement:

https://success.e-gmat.com/petrlavrenkos-Mock-Journey

petrlavrenko, a 10-point improvement in verbal from a V29 to a V39 is no small feat. You have displayed that with hard-work and determination, you can achieve all that you set out to achieve – hurdles like being a non-native speaker, strict timelines, and busy schedules just get transformed to steppingstones.

I, on the behalf of the entire e-GMAT family congratulate you again for this tremendous achievement and wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

Best Regards,
Rashmi Vaidya

As I'm sure many of the people reading this have, I came across TTP while scouring reddit and GMATclub to find the best prep company. I decided to get the free trial and after I had used it for a day or two, I knew it was right for me.

The UI and course material of TTP is second to none and is really simple to understand! In terms of volume and quality for quant - TTP is the clear choice. Historically TTP has been known to not be very comprehensive for verbal but credit to the team for really building that out too!

The TTP instructors were highly accessible and were always happy to answer queries and to provide insights over mail.

Would definitely recommend taking this course for someone who is planning to get massive improvements in their score via a dedicated/clear action plan, especially for the verbal section. The math section also prepares one pretty well for the actual exam (which is much easier).

Kudos to their mentors & the LMP program in general - this program really enables one to focus on the right thing at the right time, without wasting much time in planning what/how one needs to study. The structured study plans/programs are definitely a highlight for a working individual who doesn't have much time to think/plan their prep. Mentors also enable you to move in the right direction & have a clear trajectory of what is needed/not needed in the whole preparation journey. Special shoutout to Akash who was always up for helping/guiding/supporting & mentoring me through the different learning phases!

In addition, the modules are structured in a manner that meets you in your own learning journey, without making it too generic/specific.

Lastly, the analytics/algorithm adds to your reflection journey by helping you pinpoint your weaker areas or areas of concern so you can create a more targeted revision plan & focus more on the weaker/strength areas.

Dear SS97,

Congratulations on your score of 710 with a remarkable Q49 and a V37! With this, you have crossed the 90th percentile mark in the GMAT exam.

If I have to give an example of someone never giving up, it will have to be yours. Your diligence and hard work made the journey easy for you, as the processes became second nature to you through continuous efforts. The image below shows how you were able to improve your accuracy in CR hard questions from 60% to 80%, translating to greater than 90%ile ability, by adopting the pre-thinking approach effectively –

Image Link - https://success.e-gmat.com/SS97-CR-Improvement-Statistics

You maintained your diligence and perseverance through all Verbal subsections, allowing you to reach your GMAT score in a very predictable manner. The below image, showing your statistics across the three subsections in Verbal in hard questions, depicts that the consistent approach helped you get to that V37 (81st percentile).

You effectively used the Scholaranium analytics and improved your time management abilities in Quant with each mock, making your success on the GMAT exam predictable. It was only a matter of time before you could replicate the same Quant score in your actual GMAT exam. The image below shows your journey in Quant from the mocks to the actual exam –

We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the Verbal Scholaranium question bank, and I wanted you to know that the team is continuously striving towards improving our platform to deliver success.

I wish you all the very best for your next steps!

GMAT is one of the most complex exams I’ve ever taken.
Though I didn’t take an initial Diagnostic test, I believe my baseline was around Q49 V28 ~600~

Background
I had my schooling from a small, below-avg. school in Rajasthan, India, where kids use to speak Hindi. My English- speaking skills as well as writing skills- was terrible. But I’d really good analytical skills. Had my engineering degree from one of the NIT’s. I knew I was not the brightest students, but I knew have superior degree of perseverance. With time and some patience, my ability to preserve in tough time has always worked for me.

Phase 1 – Quant
Quant was not issue for me from the beginning. With official guidebook content, I was able to score Q50 in Quant. My strategy was always simple. DO SOLVE AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN QUANT! With my 7 attempts at GMAT, I’m now sure at this point that the engine is biased towards speed (if you’re accurate enough). If your speed is fast enough, example 1:30 minutes/question, the system will reward you with easy, point scoring questions even if you do 2-3 questions wrong in first 20 questions. Engine will punish you with higher order difficult questions if you’re slow and accurate.
But one thing specifically I’ve noticed that if I tried to get perfect Q51 score, which was in fact possible for me, I got Q49 all the time. This was because in order to do everything perfect, I would slow down. Engine will not only count your accuracy but at the same time timing too! This is such an important factor that I (and many people) till the end do not believe it! Also, if you take extra time (say more than 2:30 minutes+) you’ll start to get tougher questions (if you’re accurate). This loop will screw your timing and will cause you to score lower than your potential. This has happened to me multiple times in the exams. Well, I got 3 times Q49 and 4 times Q50. So, I can attest that!
So, in the end, I gave up on Q51 and tried to make sure that at least I get Q50.

Phase 2 – Verbal
My Achilles Hill!
Where should I start! My source of 2-year long misery!
It was stupid of me to naively start the verbal without understanding the concepts behind it. My foundation was not strong at all. I thought I would easily conquer the verbal by practicing questions. I was fool.
Long story short, I spent ~8 months~ wasting time. Learning concepts from questions through practicing, not the other way around.
At this point, I’ve given gmat my score was 680, Q50, V32. My SC was quite weak. I thought with more practice and concept, I can make my score go up. I was stupid. I didn’t realize that I had hit my verbal upper limit, and my English skills kind of peaked at V32.
This time, I learned all the concepts through various material available online and I gave the exam in next 2 months. I thought now my score would go up. Unlike last time, this time I had exam stress. Even after a rigorous preparation, my score got down. 650, Q49, V29.

At this time, I was also down. I took a month off.

~Next 6 months~
I took coaching material such as Manhattan prep and E-gmat and gave exams again.
But that was also not a great help. By the way, the Manhattan prep exams are really good.
In the meantime, I’ve given GMAT 3 more times. Similar stories, sometimes I did poorly in CRs, sometime in SCs, and sometime in RCs! I tried to fix one specific thing; another thing was in shambles.
The score wavered from 650 to 700.
I was frustrated and wanted to quit.
This standardize test has been nothing but a source of misery!

I took a month off.

Phase 3 - Verbal
At this point, I realized there were some basic things, I was constantly doing wrong.
I came across Sunita Mam’s videos on YouTube. I really enjoyed watching her teaching basic things on YouTube video. I decided to give her a try and take a personal tutoring from her to help me fix issues specific to me!

I’ll be honest, I was not after content at all. I have seen thousands of questions at this point. I just wanted her to see me solve the verbal questions.
Honestly, I needed someone to handhold me this time.
I was tired, exhausted, and frustrated from GMAT already!

She taught- DON’T TAKE THIS EXAM AS PAIN. YOU’LL NEVER CLEAR IT THAT WAY!
She taught me that I had this innate habit to skip words in RCs while reading. This would lead to meaning loss as well as wrong meaning inference at the same time. This was such a big issue for me, even Infront of her, I was doing this basic mistake, trying to skim through passage. Also, I tried to get more engaged with RCs and took some minor notes for reference.
In SCs she asked me to apply the similar strategy as in RCs, to read very slowly, not to skip words, and try to understand the meaning at the same time. Try to identify all the errors in first sentence itself. Find definite errors first and eliminate those options immediately. Compare remaining SC choices based on meaning. Don’t believe your ears, they are not your friends in SC. Stick to structured approach till the end!
In CRs she asked me to go with structured approach, that’s it! What’s the author’s logic? Identifying the conclusion as well as how Author reached that conclusion. To answer the CR properly, locking the conclusion in right way is so, so IMPORTANT. This will save your from selecting out of scope options choice. Even if you can’t pre-think the answer, just have the conclusion locked in mind, so that author won’t be able to divert you through flimsy answer options.

In my 6th attempt after 6 weeks of training, I decided to give exam again. But his time, I was too stressed already. I was performing well in mock test, but there was a degree of exam pressure, which I felt constantly. I scored 660 in the exam. I felt terrible at this point.
I didn’t talk to anyone for whole week. What I have not tried. Even after months of tutoring, this was the result.
Sunita mam called. She asked me what happened? I narrated the whole story.
She calmly said -THAT’S OKAY! DON’T WORRY ABOUT IT MUCH. THIS IS JUST AN EXAM. TAKING STRESS WON’T HELP YOU OUT HERE! JUST LET IT BE! TRY AGAIN ONCE YOU’RE READY!

I took her advice positively, took a week off and started back.
At this point, I stopped thinking much. I started prep again.
This time the enemy was not the GMAT! It was the exam pressure that I was unable to channel.

Somewhere I read this famous quote by Edmund Hillary.
“It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves...”

I think it all came down to motivation at this point.
Sunita Mam helped once a week with preparation, but this time fight was with me, myself.
I tried to develop regular routine – Sleep, Exercise, Eat, Work, Study, Sleep. And I sticked to it.
6 weeks passed me by so quickly. But I was in the flow and didn’t think much.
Before exam night, I had good night sleep and ate lightly.
I gave the exam 7th time.
The only change in the strategy was – Just as in Quant, I’ll dominate the Verbal.
The strategy worked till first 15 questions but after that I realized that I was getting difficult questions and I was slowing down. CRs were really tough. SCs were okay. In RCs, I tried my level best not to skim the paragraphs. I had to rush in the last 4 questions (2 SCs and 2 CRs)
It just doesn’t matter at this point. I stopped worrying and started doing things in a structured approach, that’s it.
Same strategy for the Quant. Well, I finished quant 12 minutes earlier this time. I was surprised, how come questions were so easy.
Had my breaks in between.
And finished the rest of section.

But as soon as I was finishing the AWA, I started to get anxious.
After submission, I just closed my eyes for few seconds and was preparing myself for the worst!
Q50, V40 -730
Seriously, I never dreamed of V40. I couldn’t even believe it! I still don’t believe it! MY STRATEGY OF DOMINATING VERBAL JUST AS QUANT WORKED. Engine rewarded me for the first time for both accuracy and speed in Verbal. I walked out of the test center and yelled loudly! This was such a long and tortuous journey for me.
Got in my Car, and called my buddy first, who was with me in this journey all along! Both of us were feeling ebullient and numb at the same time.
I drove home and blasted hype music all along!

This is literally a one stop shop for obtaining an elite GMAT score. When I describe it to my peers, I liken it to having a personal coach who will take your of your nutrition, exercise routine and program structure - All you need to do is show up.

It is a long course, no doubt about it, and at times can feel endless. As long as you can commit, put in the hours (having a time tracker on the main dashboard helps immensely with this) you will get decent results.

By the time it came round to start on the official practice tests, I was amazed at the scores I was getting.

Overall a no BS, straightforward program that will get you results if you stick with it.

Course e-GMAT Online Focused

Location Online

e-GMAT has created an outstanding platform that caters to millions of students and at the same time felt a personalised one for me. It understood where all I can falter, what is the right way to think and what I might be doing but is not to be done. Most importantly, it focused on the basics and the core process, NO SHORTCUTS. This helped me to build the confidence that I will be able to tackle questions of all types and levels during the main exam.

The course is very much structured and saves number of hours for any student. Meaning based approach in SC and Pre-thinking in CR do wonders to solve any question. Scholaranium is a very good tool for doing quizzes and analysing one’s skills deeply. Also, the team provides constant support and guidance throughout the journey. I have mailed them for everything that came up to my mind: asking about what study strategies to follow, what are my weak areas, what improvement plan to follow etc. Special mention to Rida Shafeek, my mentor and Abha Mohan who helped me with the improvement plan. e-GMAT team has always been there to help and support, especially when my course plan was getting over on 9th Jan 2023 and they extended it till 18th Jan as per my scheduled exam.

In the initial mock I got a 610. I started my GMAT journey in October 2022 and with the recommendation of my brother I took the e-GMAT course from the start itself. I feel very happy to share that I scored a total of 720 ( V36 Q50 ) in my GMAT retake in Feb 2023. In my earlier attempt in Jan 2023, my score was 650 (V29 Q49). I felt that it did not do justice to all the preparation I had been doing for the exam and planned to give a retake as soon as possible.

Overall, I really enjoyed the journey as much as I enjoyed the result. I would highly recommend the e-GMAT course to all GMAT aspirants.

Dear Malaika21,

Congratulations on the massive 110-point improvement to 720!!

This is Rida, your mentor. I am so incredibly proud of your success! The fact that you managed this with a full-time job makes this victory all the more impressive.

From the get-go, you knew that following a logical and structured approach was the key to improvement. In SC, we can see how mastering a reliable process allowed you to improve your accuracy by leaps and bounds to achieve 80% accuracy on hard questions while keeping your takt time low -

Image Link - https://success.e-gmat.com/Malaika21-SC-Improvement

You displayed the same diligence to perfect the process across all other Verbal and Quant subsections as well. Your Quant Scholaranium scores show how these efforts enabled you to reach a Q50 ability.

Image Link- https://success.e-gmat.com/Malaika21-Q50-Scholaranium

By putting in the hard work and effort, you were able to ensure that you could tackle each and every question that the GMAT threw at you. The fact that this ability stemmed from a rock-solid foundation and not from a dependence on shortcuts meant that you were confident in your capacity to score well. This allowed you to bounce back from a bad attempt and ace the GMAT to score 720!!

I am so glad to have been a part of your journey and I am sure that you will achieve wonderful things in your MBA journey!

Regards,
Rida
