The Quant study material is below par. Both the content and the questions. Verbal material is ok, content-wise, but lacks basic exam strategies.

I learned more by watching verbal and quant videos from GMAT Ninja and Veritas Prep than the course content.
Please DO NOT fall for the AI-based learning gimmicks.

Before starting with this course, my GMAT scores were hovering around the 580-600 mark. But only after self-study ( and after using the other resources mentioned above) did the score improve to 660.

I would advise fellow GMAT aspirants to look at alternative courses from Veritas Prep, e-GMAT, empowerGMAT, or even Target Test Prep.

Hey Amey,

Thanks for writing a review for us. We are always open to feedback and willing to put in more effort to improve our services. However, based on whatever you have written and your course progress, we would like to add our two cents.

We would like to start by saying that to get a 700+ score, students need to ensure that they are following the right plan of action which includes:
1. Using a single resource to study for the test that provides personalized study plan and mentorship guidance. We recommend avoiding multiple resources (apart from Official resources) to ensure that you don’t get confused because each resource will have its own method of solving questions.
2. Following and believing in the methodology that is being taught by the course that you are using.
3. Constantly being in touch with mentors and tweaking your plan of action based on their recommendation.
4. Making sure that the student progressively moves from learning to fine-tune phase and understands the difference in strategy while being in these phases.

The reason we are mentioning this is because we feel that there are certain aspects of the above plan that you may not have followed properly. And we are deducing this based on your usage of and performance in our course and the frequency of your discussion with our mentors.

For example:

a. We saw that you completed full SC and CR course and had a skill score of 80% - which is pretty good! And we are sure this must have helped you improve your SC & CR. However, you did not touch RC course from our platform. Also, after completing the SC and CR module, you hardly practiced any questions from our quizzing platform Whiz Quiz. Basically, practicing plays a very important role because you won’t be able to internalize the methods and process learnt if you don’t practice, which, in turn, leads to your entire effort on the course being futile.

b. Also, the timing strategy seems a little off because you were taking quiz by aggressively reducing your time – which doesn’t work! You need to gradually reduce your time in a phase wise fashion – this would have been told to you had you spoken to your mentors or followed the advices that are provided by us in our webinars.

c. We are surprised to see that you think of the Quant study material to be below par. On looking at your course dashboard – we can clearly see that you completed – 100% of the Quant course and have a skill score of 70% (which is close to Q44-Q46). If, in your opinion, the course was so sub-par then we are not sure why you completed the Quant portion end-to-end and why didn’t you provide this feedback to your mentor or the team earlier in time; We would have definitely helped you figure out the best way to use the course.

The reason, we have raised these points is because you just completed 80% of the first phase of prep from our course and when it came to fine-tuning you didn’t utilize our question bank; neither did you actively talk to your mentor as suggested by us (as we recommend students to get in touch with the mentor in every 15 days) to figure out the next plan of action and give them a chance to track your progress based on your data points and guide you from time to time. In your entire course duration of 6 months, you have got in touch with your mentor merely three times, that too at an irregular frequency (the highest gap being almost three months). The whole purpose of mentorship stands defeated if you don’t get in touch with your mentor at regular intervals as advised.

Also, the AI-based learning is not a gimmick – we can clearly see that you did use this feature to personalize your course quite extensively. In almost each Quant topic – we can clearly see that you were provided with personalized quizzes (about 20+) and, video lessons in areas you were weak at.

The feedback on the dashboard by our AI-based Whiz clearly highlights areas you need to work on. For example: In Quant, the Whiz clearly suggested you work on DS. As far as timing is concerned, you needed to work on topics such as Percentage/Divisibility/Statistics. To ace 700+level questions, you needed to improve Skills such as Form Equation/Deduce logically etc.

See, the point is that if you are using a course, you need to believe in its methodology end-to-end. You need to trust the advice of the mentor too. If you try and use multiple resources to prepare, there is a high chance that you might not imbibe the methodology of any of these resources and end up using a half-baked approach and score inconsistently.

We do understand that opinion may differ from student to student. Some students might have a different perspective about some courses and we do respect it. However, let’s say hypothetically, if you found other resources helpful and you are recommending those to other people then it is worth giving a thought why, after all these efforts and time, could you not reach your target score of 740? In fact, you could only improve by approx. 60 points in this entire duration. Whereas the average score improvement recorded by GMATWhiz students is 100+ points based on reviews and data points verified by GMATClub. Probably, had you utilized our resource adequately even you could have made such significant improvement. Isn’t it possible that the main issue is the way you have been preparing and not the resources?

If, at all, you are open to working on your methods, feel free to reach out to us. We would be more than happy to help you out in reaching your goal just like we have helped multiple students in the past to do so. The only thing that we would want is for you to trust us while working with us. We have various examples of students who have trusted our methodologies and mentors, and just used our course and official resources to score 700+. This wouldn’t have been possible if the course was sub-par.

However, we do understand that you may be comfortable learning from other resources – because of teaching style or content. In that case, we wish you all the best and hope that using various other resources you reach your target score because the ultimate goal remains the same i.e. acing the GMAT 😊.

Hi GMAT whiz team,

Here's my reply:
1. I would take your analysis of skill score for both Quant and Verbal on the GMATWhiz platform with a pinch of salt. Only official questions are the right gauge of verbal capability. Whiz quiz also was therefore of no practical value to me.
2. Regarding the utilization of the course for RC: I mentioned to your 'Mentors' already that I have previously prepared for the GRE and therefore i was not focused on RC. And in any case I prepared with official questions via gmatclub. I had an accuracy of close to 80% with even harder, timed RC questions so I focused my prep on CR/SC/quant. And like I mentioned earlier by the time I was done with CR and SC modules from GMATwhiz, I realized that the unofficial questions were not up to the mark.
3. Let us not talk about hypothetical scenarios here. People are paying in excess of 200 USD to access quality, individualized test prep. And therefore true facts need to be out here.
4. Mentorship: You failed to mention that my GMATwhiz subscription expired roughly after a month of my last call with my mentor. I connected with mentors whenever I needed support. in addition, 'mentor' Shreyyash told me connect with him only once I was done with majority of my Quant and Verbal prep. I hope the rest of the GMAT aspirants can connect the dots here.

EGMAT - The Perfect Stop-Shop for my GMAT problems

Course e-GMAT Online Intensive

Honestly, I had started with GMAT preparations in June 2021 with a desire to secure an admit in ISB, but had no idea where to start from. Then, a friend from ISB suggested to take a demo class from EGMAT; I already knew that Verbal is my weakness as I was already scoring around 47-48 in Quant without any preparation. The way EGMAT focuses on Verbal section is phenomenal - I was rather shocked to know I was making mistakes on even verbal basics (P.S. I am sure there are a lot of people, especially non-native speakers, who are facing similar problems) but the way EGMAT addresses those areas for you is simply awesome. I started with SC, secondly approached CR and finally RC - the course is designed in such a great fashion that it builds momentum slowly and steadily so students can absorb to the entire core.

To highlight, Scholaranium has proved to be very helpful for additional practice. Also, one is advised to take mock tests after a fixed frequency, to check on yourself and EGMAT's sigma mock tests not only help with the same, but they will also highlight you with your weaknesses and techniques to turn them into your strengths - such is the power of the EGMAT course.

Furthermore, its Quant course helped me strengthen my core-basics and improved my timing on Quant questions. To sum-up, thank you to EGMAT team - I owe my GMAT score and my admit from ISB to EGMAT; couldn't thank you more.

Dear Pankaj,

Firstly, congratulations on your score and your ISB admit. I am super happy for you! The mammoth 140-point improvement is highly commendable.

I love the way you mention that the course builds momentum so that students can learn everything to the core. However, the course will help you if you do it diligently and that is our promise. You did the course well and hence reaped the benefits. The screenshot below gives you an idea of how well you did in the course and then in the Scholaranium Quizzes. Great effort this.

Also, your last mock score was exactly the same as your GMAT score with almost the same splits. I hope you have noticed 😀

I was going through your account and came through the Test Readiness you took before the exam. You got a perfect 100% score. See the screenshot below.

Target Test Prep Review

Course Target Test Prep Dedicated Study

I used Target Test Prep (TTP) to study for the GMAT Quant section. TTP helped me to get my target GMAT score by providing me with strategies that helped me answer each type of question in the GMAT Quant section.

The TTP platform is well organized and user friendly, so it is easy to keep track of mistakes and improve in areas that you are weak in. The platform has a huge library of practice questions as well as detailed lessons and videos that cover all aspects of the GMAT. I focused mostly on the Quant section, but it also has great material available for the Verbal section.

TTP added a lot of value for me because it helped me to learn from my mistakes and become more efficient at answering questions. Before using TTP, I found the GMAT Quant section quite difficult because I couldn't answer all the questions in the time provided. TTP showed me the most efficient ways to answer each question type and provided me with detailed explanations when I didn't understand a concept. TTP is also very well structured, so I found that I could spend more time focusing on learning the material and doing practice questions instead of trying to keep track of where I was in my own study plan.

I really enjoyed using TTP and I wouldn't have achieved the GMAT score that I wanted without it. I'd highly recommend it for anyone preparing for the GMAT.

Overall Course is designed well. The Gmatwhiz platform includes everything you will need for your preparation. Buy an OG and this course that will be enough for you to score a 700+.

My verbal was weak, I scored a V27 and was very disheartened and thought maybe this exam is not for me (as I was in Hindi(local language) medium school and didn't learn English from an early age and always thought I will never do good in verbal section). But the verbal course is designed for someone like me that includes everything from scratch to advanced, everything was there.

I will especially thank Sunita for the help she provided, she even solved doubts on WhatsApp when someone asked in the group (I have taken the crash course for 3 months in which the teacher teaches the course.)

I will also thank Shreyyash who was my mentor assigned to me. He helped me to motivate and guide me to the right topics I should be doing my prep from before the exam.

Overall it was a great course, I will recommend this to someone who is weak in the verbal section and continuously struggling to get the questions right. I was good in quant and got a Q49 on the first attempt too, I can't judge the course correctly for someone who is weak in quant but I will say it is structured properly and can be advantageous.

Hey Ankur!

Congratulations on the 710 and all the very best for your upcoming interviews! The V40 is particularly impressive considering that you started with a V27 – that’s an impressive jump and must have been a major boost to the overall improvement of 80 points in your total score.

As you mentioned, you were a student of Crash Course program, the perfect offering for those who (1) are already at a 600-650 level but want to breach the 700+ barrier and (2) can give a lot of time on the weekends but not so much on the weekdays. Clearly, you made the best of the opportunity and worked on the section that had the most room for improvement.

Sunita is an absolute pioneer when it comes to GMAT Verbal, a true visionary of methodologies that not only work during practice sessions but are also effective in exam-like environments under the pressure of time. However, at the end of the day, it comes down to how much you as a student have been able to imbibe Sunita’s teachings – in your case, you clearly did, and the results are for everyone to see.

I remember our mentorship sessions as well, Ankur. You proactively sought my help with regards to strategy on where to practice questions from (a combination of our Whiz Quizzes, the proprietary GMATWhiz Question Bank, as well as our official questions Dump of over 1000 questions) and what kinds of questions to practice as well – again, you followed the instruction perfectly.

Many people try to reduce time taken from the get-go, an absolutely disastrous strategy. You first worked on your accuracy on 700+ level questions on especially key topics (such as Modifiers, Pronouns, Verb Tenses, Inference and Assumption Family) from Whiz Quiz and our consolidated GMAC dump by applying the methodology taught by Sunita. This was followed by a series of quizzes and sectional mocks from Whiz Quiz (before the actual mocks) to reduce time consumption while not losing accuracy.

All the best for the applications and please reach out in case you need any guidance with school selection, essays or LoRs for the applications because our admission consultants have end-to-end knowledge of the MBA admission process undertaken by the top schools across the globe.

Cannot recommend TTP enough to people. Scott and team have put together a great course with all of the tools you need to master the quant and verbal. Each lesson is tailored to exactly what you need to know for the exam, and focuses on making sure students actually learn and master the material, not just memorize a formula. Even though the verbal is new, it is incredibly well set up and covers all of the necessary material in depth. If you follow this plan exactly how it is designed and how they suggest, you should have no problems achieving your goals. Overall, a great resource. Wish I had used TTP the first go around when studying for the GMAT, would have saved me some serious time.

In my opinion, E-gmat course a great source to prepare for the GMAT exam. The verbal and quantitative sections in the prep course are designed in such a manner to provide comprehensive review of the topics that you can find in the real GMAT exam.
First of all, the course has specific subtopics in quant and verbal, in which one can solidify his fundamentals. The quant section, in my opinion, is generally little bit harder than the real exam, which is a good thing, since preparing for harder questions will definitely make it easier to score well in the real exam.
Also, the course has the scolaranium section, where one can practice a ton of questions with any difficulty and with detailed explanations as to why the right answer is the right answer and why all the others are wrong.
To sum up, I greatly recommend this prep company to anyone who is just starting his GMAT journey or to anybody who is dissatisfied with his current score and wants to improve his score.

Best and Cheapest Course to Easily Score 700+

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement 160 Points

Course Target Test Prep Maximum Learning

Location Online

TTP is the best and cheapest available GMAT prep course, which can get any individual to score 700+ on the GMAT. Following the program step-by-step, I was able to improve my GMAT score from a 570 to 730 in just 6 months, a 160 point improvement.

Having taken the CPA exam prior to the GMAT, I expected to easily find the best prep course to maximize my GMAT score. Surprisingly, searching through GMATClub and R/GMAT, I had a hard time deciphering what prep course really was the best to help me earn my goal score of 700 on the GMAT. I initially signed up for the Manhattan Prep Interactive course, a $1000 commitment. Going through the course, I was frustrated with how little detail the course went into each topic and subject. I felt that I was given a high level overview of various subjects, given a few practice problems, and moved on to the next topic. Frustrated with only a 20 point improvement after 2 months of studying, I knew I had to find another prep course and resource that could comprehensively cover each topic on the exam, and provide me with enough practice questions to master every topic.

TTP provided me with everything I needed to master every topic on the exam. Each subject has video solutions, many example questions, and detailed explanations. I literally felt that the course could help me score an 800 on the exam, a feat I didn't think was possible when I first started studying.

Thanks to the amazing content provided by the Verbal and Quant TTP courses, I was not only able to achieve my dream score, but exceeded my score goal by 30 points! The detailed analytics provided by the course also turned studying into a "game" in which I was constantly motivated to improve any weak areas I had.

I would recommend this course to absolutely everybody, and am a bit surprised why not every student searching for a prep course chooses the TTP course. For reference, I spent $1000 on the Manhattan course. I only spent $600 in total on the TTP course, and felt that TTP gave me 10x the material and value I was given by the Manhattan course.

Thanks for all the support Mart, Jeff, and Scott! I couldn't have done it without your support!

I started my GMAT preparation with 580 in my first mock test.
Seeing my verbal score of V22, it became clear to me that I needed to start from basic for verbal and some improvement in Quant (that last improvement is hardest from V47 to much higher.)
I came to know about TTP and decided to go with it. TTP is the reason, I could achieve my 730 score. There is no doubt in its quant as well as verbal course. If you need to learn from basic to advanced without any gimmick, TTP is the only course.
Apart from the course, their on-spot support is great. Shoot any doubt to their experts, you will get your query resolved with complete satisfaction. The only thing you need to do is just holistically follow their course structure (you can set your target score, it will automatically set your course and practice test goals.) One best thing is that they will never teach you any gimmick that works some of the time but not others. In last, I will say TTP is an awesome program and worth more than its cost.

I was struggling with Quant and wanted a service that had plenty of practice questions for me to familiarize myself with the various question types. After seeing the plethora of questions on TTP through their 1-week trial, I decided to pull the trigger. My quant obviously improved but I found that the verbal was also super helpful. The OnTarget Analytics was also great at the very end of my prep to go back and strengthen my weak points. If you follow the course and complete it 100%, doing all of the chapter tests and hitting the target scores, your GMAT score will improve for sure. All around 5 stars!

TTP comes prepared with an extremely detailed study plan and all I had to do was follow it exactly as they had laid out and put in the hard work. They teach all concepts so thoroughly in such a way that you actually feel like you're learning and understanding the information. They put you through numerous practice tests (split by difficulty level) which really drills in the concepts that they teach. They even have review tests throughout the prep to ensure that you remember concepts taught earlier in the course. This is quite important as it is a comprehensive and detailed module, so these recaps will make you feel more confident about concepts you have already learned.

Personally, I loved how available the instructors were at all times. They were just one message away and I got the feeling that they really wanted to help me out. This is a really important factor especially in these online courses and adds that personal touch.
