Agile Technologies Kolkata Test Centre

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

Strengths:

Though small, the test centre has all the necessary equipments.

Would make the product better:

The room size is quite small, and the invigilators do interrupt now and then, which create hindrances

The location(inside a small abbey) , lack of availability of parking outside, the small rooms and the nosy invigilators do hamper the test taking experience .
They don't let you rest for even 5 mins. You have to start once you enter their premises. The earplugs they provide were useless. I can't blame the earplugs though. If you cramp 8 people in a small room, there will be noise and murmuring. The invigilators do enter every now and then swinging the door open.
All in all, I can't say "I don't recommend this place" ,as this is the only option for offline test centre in Kolkata. But I would suggest to have my review as a caution in mind before booking an appointment there.

GMAT Test Center review

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by post count [?]

Strengths:

Well managed, the staff is there, it's clean. Less crowded in the morning slots

Would make the product better:

Stationary - don't know what maybe the pens dry faster or they don't check it - please make sure you check all pens and write like a complete sentence - else that wastes time on test

Well managed, the staff is there, it's clean. Less crowded in the morning slots - and they always seem to have them available - day time slots are harder to get - so you need to plan 1 week in advance at-least

Overall - I am neutral on the test center. But I would say its better than the Bangalore test centers I have seen.

Test center review

Strengths:

Good overall

Would make the product better:

Yes/ No depends on what are your preference

For me it was a good experience, but make sure you check whether markers are working or not, write multiple times before test to be sure shot. Also you get headphones so noise wont be an issue. if possible go one day before test and get accquinted with the place/ center . helps a lot to reduce exam pressure if you get panic. Overall its good, there are glasses door which helps in noise reduction. pearson centers are good in general. choose weekdays to avoid crowd. if possible go one day before test and get accquinted with the place/ center . helps a lot to reduce exam pressure if you get panic. Pearson VUE - Barakhamba

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

Overall Experience, staff is very helpful, and very convenient location.

Would make the product better:

Scratch Pad and pen were not completely functional, I asked to replace it 3 times during the exam, causing significant disturbance in the first section.

Overall decent, really needs better stationery. Scratchpad and pen were not completely functional, I asked to replace it 3 times during the exam, causing significant disturbance in the first section. The staff are very helpful overall, and they explained to me that the pen/markers dry up very quickly, making it difficult to keep them open. Between questions, it is recommended to close the markers, especially while doing RC. Apart from that, the location of the center, the facilities, the staff are good.

To get used to the exam, I would recommend getting a GMAT scratch via Amazon. Doing this while giving mocks gets you used to the unusual scratchpad given to you during the exam.

I had the same issue at Pearson Noida centre, I gave the exam elsewhere and faced no such issue with the markers. Its absurd that they are willing to compromise on quality to save money on markers.

Agile Tech, Kali Ghat

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Agile Tech, Kali Ghat, Kolkata India. Agile Technologies and Solutions is located in Ishwar Ganguly Street and is near by the Kali Ghat Metro Station.
It's located in a prime area and the Google Maps location is perfect.
The Center is small but sufficient for the purpose. The person concerned is very effective in his approach. They have lockers, bathrooms, water dispensers, etc.

My test got stuck, had to change the PC twice. This actually affected my mind subconsciously. Results were bad.
Small things affect the performance in such tests as GMAT, GRE, etc.

Nonetheless, technical issues happen everywhere but the frequency isn't worrisome.

Ahmedabad Test Centre - GMAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by post count [?]

I had given my first GMAT test on 25 November, 2014 at test center named "A1 Professional Assessment Center" located in Ahmedabad , Gujarat . The test center is located in Satellite Area, Near Shyamal Cross Roads.
Location of the test center can be find out quite easily as it is inside a Big Mall . One can reach the test center by any Public or Private transport.

Staff at the test center was quite co-operative and helpful. My slot was 2:00 pm. I had reached before time. Freshen up facilities are nearby. Also, noise levels were very low even in the day time. The only problem I faced was during my AWA section as typing sound from other keyboards were disturbing me. Temperature was well maintained as it was almost starting of winter. Locker facility was available at the center. Sitting capacity was for 6 students at a time. Scratch pads and markers were in good condition. Ear plugs were new. The response of the staff for scratch pads was a bit slow.

Dhaka Test Center reality

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Quiet as expected but Monitor was a bit distant. I think the sitting arrangement can improve a bit. Sitting should be flexible.

I think the sitting arrangement should enable the test taker to adjust the distance of the monitor from the seat in a way that the monitor does not stay so far from the seat.

For lack of flexibility of the sitting, I could not effortlessly watch the monitor and comfortably progress through questions.

Therefore, I think we should make them aware of their lacking and suggest to them a proper course of action in improving the exam hall settings so that test-takers feel comfort and display their best performance in the test day.

not so good but was ok

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

The main guy at test centre was good but other support staff were dull .the problem at this test center was that if you raise hand they donot respond quickly , they make you wait for 2 minute , . The stuff which frustrated me most was the time they take during breaks . they change 8 minute break into 4 minute break which will make your mind rushed . this may have affected my score a little bit too . good thing was that older location in newdelhi before current location was even worse as there was too many disturbances from outside . atleast at this center there is no noise interference from outside .

Holborn significantly better than Docklands

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

Both test centres have multiple exams taking place so be aware that both centres are relatively busy.

Docklands centre given its location is less polished and more run down. The testing room for GMAT is very small (4 desks) and I did not have a pleasant experience interacting with the staff there

Holborn is a more standardised environment and much larger. Given the surrounding area it is busier however it is located very close to the station and therefore it is more accessible than the docklands centre.

The Holborn testing location also has much larger rooms and a isolated waiting area with lockers. Restroom facilities are also much better. I would recommend you to sit the GMAT at Holborn centre

Mixed experience in Fukuoka Test Center

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

People here only speak Japanese. So, if you happen to be a non- Japanese speaker it might be a good idea to avoid the test center.
Next, I am 6ft tall. The person took my picture from weird angle without adjusting the camera that was set for someone around 5.5 ft tall. The proctor, however, mentioned that the GMAT camera is bad. What the heck!

Noise: Someone was sitting for other business English test and his PC broke. Proctors would walk it and try to fix it, making noise . It was a challenge to focus.

However, the proctors were friendly overall. So nothing bad on that.
