Strengths:

Lessons are very easy to follow and comprehensive of everything you'll find on the actual exam. Lots of bonus tools to create a study schedule, track learning progress, and compare all previous practice exam scores. Lots of practice questions (especially quant, which I needed the most).

Would make the product better:

A dedicated question bank may be useful-- However, I used an online question bank through the GMAT Official Guide 2022 for this purpose throughout my last month of studying and it filled that gap for me.

Started TTP after a friend of mine earned a 740 score. Because I've previously been a poor standardized test taker, I thought my natural ceiling would be closer to a ~710, but while progressing through the lessons I realized I may be able to go higher. I eventually got a 760 on my second attempt!

TTP has basically everything someone would need to get whatever score they want, as long as they're ready to put in the work. I studied for several hundred hours over the course of 9-10 months, but I'm glad I took my time and went at my own pace. TTP helped transform studying for/taking the GMAT into an encouraging process, where I now feel more ready and confident to apply to business school. Would highly recommend!

When I first took the GMAT with no prep to establish a baseline for myself, I scored a 710. My friend had recommended I try out TTP, so I decided to purchase the 4-month course to give it a shot. From January 2023 to May 2023, I worked exclusively with the material TTP had offered. After taking official mocks 3-6 afterward, I scored 760s with Q range 50-51/V range 40-42/IR 8.

On the official GMAT, I scored a 760- Q50/V44/IR8. My average analytics on the course was 2hrs and 16 mins per day for 4 months; if you are capable of committing some time to study for the GMAT, I would 100% recommend TTP. Furthermore, I would even encourage you to pair this with other free resources to further enhance your learning. Although I exclusively used TTP, I don't see any drawbacks to pairing a powerful learning tool like TTP with other resources.

Flexible and comprehensive

When embarking on my GMAT journey, I knew I wanted to leverage a prep course to provide me with effective study materials and a flexible schedule that could be customized to my needs. Again and again, my research pointed me towards Target Test Prep. As soon as I started the course, I knew the reviews were right and I had made the right decision. The course is a one-stop shop for all things quant, verbal, IR, AWA, and test strategy. I worked through the TTP 6-month course and found it was perfect for my busy working schedule and, ultimately, led me to achieving a 760 (Q48V49, IR8) score. Thank you to Scott, Jeff, and the entire TTP team. I would recommend this course to everyone looking for an awesome GMAT prep experience and score to match.

Strengths:

Clear deliverables and thousands of practice problems.

Quant is really well done and great to practice.

Would make the product better:

Full Verbal review section could be helpful.

Full Practice Exams included in the pack would also be helpful as you had to buy your own practice exams after the first two free ones from MBA.com

Great test prep program! Will use again if I ever need to take another standardized test.

I think that the Quant section is excellent, close to perfect. I basically had everything I needed for self study and was glad to see that videos were included to show you how to do problems you get wrong when you complete the lessons. The quant review chapters are also really helpful because they help to solidify your knowledge.

Verbal was good overall, hoping that they will create a comprehensive verbal review section as this would be super helpful during final week prep.

I definitely found it worth the money since I had to study while working full-time and you can access materials at basically any time.

Great for Quant

Strengths:

The Quant learning path is exceptional and there are ton of questions available to get up to speed. There are different difficulty level questions available so that a student at any current quant level can use it to get to Q50 or Q51.

The custom tests option is also quite good to test out few specific concepts.

Would make the product better:

I've expected the verbal content to be on par with the Quant content when I signed up for TTP after reading about it on Reddit. It is also quite an expensive subscription for people outside US.

If you are struggling with Quant, it is a great resource to get to Q50+. The learning path, the question bank and the analytics will help you a lot.

However, the verbal questions are unnecessarily hard, and quite low in number.

The SC questions, particularly, are very different from what you would get in GMAT. In GMAT, the SC questions are amalgamation of all the different SC concepts. In TTP, the SC question bank has questions that test only a particular concept of SC. Knowing about the concept prior to answering the question is not going to be the case with GMAT SC. You wouldn't know before answering the SC question, what concept is being tested and one of the crucial aspect of GMAT SC is being able to identify markers for the questions.

Nothing

Target Test Prep is the best service in the business. At the start of my prep I thought I was overly ambitious when setting my target score to 750, but did not feel surprised at all when I surpassed it on test day. Prior to starting TTP I had tried both Magoosh and Manhattan Prep and struggled to attain a quantitative score of 40. I had exhausted all of the OG questions and was beginning to think a score of 650 was out of reach, let alone 700 +. Enrolling in TTP was the best decision I made. The course provides nearly 400 comprehensive lessons covering each subject that the GMAT tests. There are thousands of practice questions, and each lesson tests you throughout. I often find myself going on autopilot and skimming through textbook reading, but the interactive interface of TTP kept me engaged for the entirety of my journey. When test day arrived, I knew I had the skills necessary to achieve the score of my dreams, all I had to do was execute. TTP instilled in me the confidence necessary to score in the 99th percentile. Trust The Process! TTP is what you need to ace the GMAT!

750 on first try after 2 months of TTP

Strengths:

Very well organised material with tons of practice questions and very well explained methods of solving for quant.
For verbal, the theory is very well explained and examples are useful. Incredible resource.
I went through the official guide for 2 months and got 650 on a mock. After 2 months of TTP, I got 770 on my mock and 750 on my actual exam on the first try.
TTP made me feel so confident in my quant skills that I wasn’t even doubting a 750 going into the exam. Cannot recommend TTP more. Im super duper thankful for this resource. I def would’ve struggled to even touch 700 if not for it, as a fashion designer who haven’t done math in 7 years.

Would make the product better:

TTP turned my Q43 into a Q50 in 1 month

Strengths:

Great lessons, interface, questions, there is everything you need at the pace you need, at the depth you need.

Would make the product better:

They could have mocks of their own. Create a new qbank dedicated to these mocks. This would be amazing because I've found only the 6 gmat prep mocks to be useful in the GMAT prep. We need another party making mocks that are actually gmat-like and from the quality of their questions it could be TTP.

This is the best bang for the buck if you like self-study like I do. There is everything here needed for you to get a Q50 or Q51. If you do not have a solid math base, the program will get you there. And if you have a solid base to start with, you can do like me (though it might not necessarily be their recommendation) and do the chapter tests and read the chapters as you need to refresh. There are three different difficulties (easy, medium, hard) for each of the topics and both PS and DS exercises. Doing their DS exercises was my prep for Data Sufficiency.

I also really liked the Sentence Correction course. The cherry on top is the fact that you can speak to a member of the staff at any time through their chat. I needed some guidance after taking the diagnostic prep and also needed general advice after taking my exam and they were very helpful.

Only Tool Needed for Quant, Provides Great Foundation for Verbal

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Improvement 100 Points

Course Target Test Prep Maximum Learning

Location Online

Strengths:

- Quant: Covers everything you need for at least a Q50 in Quant. The lesson to practice test pacing is great. I did not feel unprepared for any conventional quant question on the test.

- Verbal: Provides a great foundation for all three verbal subsections. The way to approach RC and CR questions is drilled into you repeatedly. I saw an immediate improvement in both question categories.

- Overall: Provides great analytics to highlight weak areas. The material is dense with over 2000 practice questions. No other prep material is as detailed in its lessons and as extensive in the practice questions offered.

Would make the product better:

- Quant: Absolutely gives a great foundation for a Q50 score. Q51 involves much more out-of-the-box questions. Providing a set of extra challenge problems focused on people trying to make the jump to Q51 would be fantastic.
- Verbal: While the material for Sentence Correction was great, I felt the practice questions given were much much harder than anything on the actual test. It's hard to gauge how proficient I truly was while working through this section.

Spending 15+ hours per week, it took me over 3 months to work through all of the material and practice questions. For a typical user, this material will most likely take you 4+ months to complete.

The platform provides a structured approach to GMAT preparation. TTP offers the best Quant prep compared to any other test prep provider. While I had a strong math skillset to begin with, TTP helped me lock in a Q51 on 2/3 of the official tests I took. I'm convinced that anyone with some aptitude for math can score a Q50 through TTP alone if they put the work in. For Verbal, I felt TTP excelled at setting the correct mindset and approach for CR and RC. I believe SC is TTP's weakest aspect of the platform. TTP goes through all the core topics well for SC. However, there are not a lot of practice questions for SC and the practice questions that are given tend to be much harder than those seen on the actual test. While this can be ok for some, as someone who was weaker in SC, I felt that I had to complement my TTP learnings with questions from GMATClub and other question banks. I did not feel this same need for any other Quant or Verbal sub-section.

Despite the above, TTP is the first platform I recommend to anyone starting to study for the GMAT. It simply has everything. Post TTP, I got a Q51 on 2/3 actual tests. I got a perfect CR on one test and a perfect RC on another. I feel that these achievements are predominantly due to my learnings from TTP. While TTP helped me develop my SC skills, I needed other materials to help get me to a 98th percentile score for SC. I encourage others to do the same. TTP should serve as the foundational test prep on someone's GMAT journey, with other supplemental materials added when needed.

Thorough and Solid GMAT Prep Course

Strengths:

Target Test Prep carefully teaches the underlying grammar, logic, and mathematical principles of the questions that the GMAT will pose, equipping students to do well.

Would make the product better:

I have no recommendations for improvements. The course is very solid.

Target Test Prep helped me understand the principles behind the questions on the GMAT exam, gave me large amounts of practice problems with which to test my understanding, and helped me pinpoint areas of weakness for further review. TTP focuses on teaching the foundations of mathematics, grammar, and logic rather than teaching “tricks”, allowing users to develop greater consistency in answering the GMAT’s questions. TTP also helped to lend structure to my preparation efforts, by virtue of being organized into chapter form and roughly alternating between verbal and quant test topics. Additional helpful features included notes on how to efficiently parse questions to determine what grammar principle or math technique to use to solve the problem.
