I'll preface by stating that SC questions make no sense to me, yet. I'm going off gut feels.
(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period. I don't like this part, seems off.
(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny. inescapable should come before conclusion
(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable. same as B, but the positioning of inescapable is inescapably bad
(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable. same as C
(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period. much better but the "would have influenced" part seems like future tense talking about a past tense situation. I chose E, not sure if I'm right

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period
the idea to be conveyed is that conclusion about something seems inescapable so wrong for meaning error and wrong modification

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny
Correct . This corrects the modification error and suggests that conclusion seems inescapable. Also use of 'that' is used correctly

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable
"of Porkorny" is giving us an incomplete idea as an action has been discussed after preposition

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable
Preposition is incorrectly followed by an idea

(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period
Conclusion isnt apparently inescapable but rather it appears to be so, hence the modification is incorrect

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period
What does 'one of' refer to? conclusions? That doesn't make sense. 'inescapable conclusion seems to be conclusion of Porkorny...'. That is incorrect.

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny
The modifier 'part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny' belongs to 'conclusion' and should be placed right besides it.

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable
'conclusion of' is unidiomatic.

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable
Same as C. Also, sounds as if the conclusion is inescapable because it has been influenced and shaped by Porkorny.

(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period
Correct Choice.

(E) is the correct option.

Pattern - In his novel, the ___ need the complete sentence

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period
among all, this answer choice seems to be ok! it is describing the thought process of that conclusion.

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny
Two disjoint sentences, 1. conclusion seems inescapable 2. that part of joyce's work
Is That modifying inescapable or conclusion?

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable
this answer choice suggests actual conclusion is - "porkorny influencing and shaping part of joyce's work". whereas the sentence does not discuss the actual conclusion rather its impact on joyce's work

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable
conclusion of part having been influenced and shaped seems inescapable -> wrong tense, wrong parallelism, part has been influenced ..

(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period
multiple errors. 1. seemingly is adverb , it cannot modify conclusion 2. Porkornoy did not intentionally influence. 3. Meaning error - conclusion of the argument is termed as the conclusion of the novel.

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period ~ This changes the meaning that Pokorny is influencing the work.

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny ~ Correct, the work is influenced and shaped by Porkorny.

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable ~ Incorrect it is not the conclusion of Pokorny, it is the conclusion that work is influenced by Pokorny.

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable ~ "Having been," is used to describe an action or state that was completed before another past action. But, the writing of the work and influencing happens in similar time.

(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period ~ Incorrect usage of would have, the conclusion is seemingly inescapable so Joyce work influenced by Porkornoy. Would have is used to talk about something that did not happen in the past.

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable
(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable
(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period

Solution: The given underlined segment of the sentence contains a few errors. the inescapable solution seems wrong as the intended meaning of the sentence corresponds to pointing out a generic conclusion which is inescapable and that it concludes that Joyce's work was shaped and influenced by professor Porkorny. Also the use of present continuous tense "influencing' is wrong here as this happened in past which was then transpired into the novels by Joyce.

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period.
As explained above, this is INCORRECT

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny
This option is grammatically correct and conveys the intended meaning of the original sentence. The use of past tense for the Joyce's work is correct here CORRECT

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable
Prepositional error in "conclusion of Porkorny", changes the intended meaning. Also use of present continuous tense is wrong. This is INCORRECT

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable
Prepositional error in "conclusion of part of joyce's work", changes the intended meaning. Also use of 'having' + perfect tense is wrong. This is INCORRECT

(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period
Incorrect use of past perfect tense and use of would here, changes the intended meaning. This is INCORRECT

Option B is the correct answer.

(A) inescapable conclusion seems to be one of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period => meaning issue because we can rephrase that like this "the conclusion is one of part of work of Joyce of that period" => it doesn't have much sense + "the inescapable conclusion" => need some context [of what?] => Answer A is out

(B) conclusion seems inescapable that part of Joyce’s work of that period was influenced and shaped by Porkorny => seems to be our winner, meaning is okay and no grammatical error, but let's check the other answers.

(C) conclusion of Porkorny influencing and shaping part of Joyce’s work of that period seems inescapable => use of "conclusion of..." is weird + the location of "seems inescapable " at the end tends to be confusing, we might think that it's the period which is inescapable. => answer C is out

(D) conclusion of part of Joyce’s work of that period having been influenced and shaped by Porkorny seems inescapable => "conclusion of part of Joyce's work " distort the meaning + "having been influenced" => unnecessary wordy => Answer D is out
(E) seemingly inescapable conclusion is that Porkornoy would have influenced and shaped part of Joyce’s work of that period => verb tense issue "would have influenced" : no need for conditional here. => answer E is out.

Therefore IMO Answer B
