Hi all,
I need your help on planning for GMAT. I will try to make this short
Background: non-native. moved to US in middle school from eastern Asia. SAT - 720 math 600 verbal.
I finished B.S. in Acct and Fin at a state school with a low GPA, a bit below 3.0. Yes, I was one of those armatures who thought I could get a job by networking only and didn't care much about GPA. Found out that is not true for recent graduate positions.
I started my career at a small CPA and worked for 1.5 year, and then I was able to join a mid-sized accounting firm. After another year, which is earlier this year, I got into one of the big 4.
I'm really enjoying my current position, but I believe this is the perfect time to plan for MBA.
The target school is Wharton.
I am planning to take GMAT sometime in Feb 2017 which gives me about 1 - 2 month time to study.
My first GMAT was back in 2013 or 2014. I went through a few pages of
OG and took the exam, scored 550 (Q43 V22 I think).
I strongly believe I can get into 650+ if I take one of the verbal prep course. I'm good with math so I think I can study for quant myself.
With that said, I need some advice on how to improve my GMAT score from 650+ to 700+.
My GPA sucked so yea I need a strong 700+ which will be a big challenge. Good news is I'm going to apply for Jan 2018 deadline so I still have time.
Also, which GMAT prep course should I purchase for verbal?
Thank you for reading my post!
