EMPOWERgmatRichC The biggest misery is that I belong to the Indian - IT- male category. So nothing short of 720 will ever be competitive for any b-school whatsoever.
1) 1st Gmat was april 2018. Second attempt on 22nd Aug 2019
2) Three months in total. Last two months with consistent effort, about 10 hours each week first month and a 16 hours each week last month leading to exam.
3) Official gmat book for verbal and quant. Mock tests on GMATprep, Veritas and
Experts Global. Roughly 7-8 mocks on the unofficial test prep products.
4) My GMATperp mocks were as follows, 730(Q50,40) , 640(q49,v28 this one went bad due to stress I think), 750(Q50,V41 struggled with time on verbal a little on this one), 720 (q50,v37 a little struggle with verbal w.r.t time here as well) All tests had roughly more than a week in between attempts
5) I want to apply asap. Had this score been in my favor, I would have targeted R2 deadlines. For the reason cited above, I am avoiding applying without a competitive GMAT score.
6) I am targeting a decent top 30 B-School in US.
