Hi Guys,
I took my GMAT today for the first time and landed the following breakdown in my score: IR-8 (92 percentile), Quant-47 (67 percentile), Verbal-40(91st percentile). Overall, 710 (91st percentile). 710 was my cutoff score to cancel my score. I did report my scores and I am neither upset nor thrilled with my score. I'm strongly considering taking it again for the following reasons:
1. I know I am capable of more than a 47 on Quant. I scored 740, 740, 720 on my last three GMATPrep tests with Quant consistently at 49 and verbal ranging between 39 and 41.
2. I thought I did pretty well on Quant but it was one particular Geometry PS question that I spent more than 2.5 minutes on (i did get it right) that I knew would lead to a compromise later on. (some nasty Number Property DS questions)
3. I was very very exhausted towards the end of the test. My verbal section ended with around 4 CR's and 1 SC. While I got the SC right, I was finding it tough to focus on CR's (my weakpoint)
4. I am in no particular hurry and believe that I can reach the 740 level.
Any advice folks?
Cheers,
Akhil
