It took me 0.30 sec to ans this question with calculation.

First step: Eliminate wrong answers.

Let x be the regular price of dryer. x > 203. Eliminate option D and E

Second step : Calculate 15 of actual selling price. Add this number to actual S.P.
The 15 % of regular S.P will be greater than 15 % of actual S.P

.85 x = 203.15. 15% of 203.15 = 30 (approx).

203.15 + 30 = 233.15 . Eliminate option C.

Indeed 15 % x > 30 [This number will be little more]

Option A is on higher side. Hence we will eliminate it.

The only option left is option B.

Ans: B

Algebraic Explanation

.85x = 203.15

x = \(\frac{(203.15 * 100)}{85}\) [If you think calculation is taking time.... use Ans option for quicker results. Multiply option A and B with 85 and check the result]
