A particular yard has a number of apple trees. If during a 6-month period an additional number of apple trees were planted, what is the ratio of the number of apples trees at the end of the 6-month period to the number of apple trees at the beginning of the 6-month period? (Assume that apple trees can be planted or can die at any time.)

(1) The number of apple trees at the beginning of the 6-month period was 6 times the number of apple trees planted during the 6-month period.
(2) No apple trees died during the 6-month period.

We can solve this question using the Logical approach.

The answer depends on 2 pieces of information: 1)how many trees were planted and 2) how many trees died.
(1) only gives us 1, (2) only gives us (2). Combined gives 1+2 - sufficient!
