Re: A scientific study provides evidence that crows are capable of recogni [#permalink]
Because crows can pass info to other crows, therefore the crows that were shrieking at the people have to be the second or tgird generation crows who got that knowledge from the crows that were trapped earlier.
Hence A is correct

KarishmaB , can you give some insights. Although I marked A but i want to confirm me reasoning behind it. How can we do negation test for option A?

(A). some of the crows that shrieked were not among the crows that had been trapped

'Some' becomes 'none'

None of the crows that shrieked were not among the crows that had been trapped.

Double negative. It means

All the crows that shrieked were among the crows that had been trapped.

If it is true that all the crows that reacted were the ones who had been trapped, it means they likely remembered what happened with them years ago and are recognising threatening people but our conclusion says that they can pass on their concerns to other crows. That is not true if no non - trapped crows are reacting. If crows were passing on their concerns to other crows, some other crows would have also reacted.

Hence option (A) is an assumption.
