Admission in XLRI for MBA

Question

Hi,

I am Project Engineer and having 3 years of experience. I am preparing to appear for GMAT in the month of August 2015. I want to apply for best Indian Colleges as well as try for foreign colleges. I have first division marks in my 10th board and B.Tech degree but i scored 56% in my 12th board. 
Does it matters now, while I am preparing for my GMAT to get admission in any good college ?

Hi Preeti,

Dont worry about your average acads. As long as you can get a good GMAT score which can compensate for your avg acads, you are good.

plz help

I had applied for GMP in XLRI through GMAT.After registration and online payment,i was asked to post my XLRI registration form(printed) 10th,12th n grad. certificates to XLRI jamshedpur office and to wait till 12JAN2016 for the list of shortlisted canidates.
Is this the application process or do am i missing anything???
Also nid to enquire as various b-schools asks for SOP n LORs, essay writings, i didnt found any of these for XLRI application process.
Regarding d interviews, what exactly is it
Is it simply a PI or rather some sort of GD.
Do they ask for essays in PI

Hi Apphelp ,

I have around 4.5 years of work ex till now in IT industry and by end of march 2016 my total work ex will be 57 months (3 months short than 5 years).
XLRI GMP program eligibility criteria mentions 5 years of work ex. 
should i apply for this program ? Am i eligible ?
My gmat score is 670 Q48 V35 AWA4.0 IR 1

Dear Sameer,

One of my friend enrolled in XLRI program in year 2013. They do not require SOPs or any essays as far as I know.

They take Interview but GDs generally do not happen.

Can anyone please tell me whether an Indian student can apply to Indian Schools like XLRI,IIM's,SP Jain and others with GMAT score?

I am also under the same doubt. I contacted IIM B and they said they dont accept gmat for indian residents. Res others I have no idea. Can anyone please clear the doubt.

For Indian Students, if you want to attend exec MBA in India then GMAT is the way forward. 
But if you are looking for a 2 year course, you'll have to appear for CAT.
XLRI - GM program (15 months) that accepts GMAT scores, 
most of IIMs - accept GMAT scores for PGPX course. 
S.P jain- not sure, but yes they do accept scores.
