B and C->Comma subject rule is not forward. The subject should be introduced after the comma. As it was not talked about in the sentence.
D->Despite being perhaps->Being is a strong avoidance. Also Despite and Perhaps are repetitive.
Out or A and E. A is right as in E he doesnt point to anything.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

With respect to the subordinator Although, E seems to be a better option than A.

Actually E is incorrect as there is a missing noun. 'He' incorrectly refers to his accomplishment.

It would have been correct had the pronoun been used to refer back to Joe Bass instead of his accomplishments.
