Ah yes. My recommender didn't disappear yet, but now its only in text format (previously there was a button I can click if i remember correctly).

Based on last year's experience, recommenders only disappear if you get accepted right?

My page was updated today too. Recommender is still there, but it looks a lot different now. I suppose we'll know about final decisions next week or so right? Or do they only release the accepted list before winter break and the rest after?

Last year they did a bulk release of acceptances right before Christmas (December 19th-ish if I remember correctly), for most people who interviewed before December. Didn't see any rejections at this point. Rejections and Waitlists tended to come on the last day. People would get waitlisted who never got an interview, so people shouldn't give up.

This year there's been rumors they'd release it earlier, but not sure the validity. Regardless, should only be a little more than 2 weeks before the first acceptances come out.

Does anyone else have a recommender that looks the same as before? Or one that looks different than just text? Mine is like the aforementioned posts, but just trying to discern if there is a variance.

How many India invites have gone out? A muted forum makes me very anxious.

xigna - we can't say for sure how many India invites were sent.

What I can tell you is how many slots are still open... I checked the interview registration site which shows available skype interview slots and right now only 2 slots are open. These slots are not location specific.

The last interview slot is for 13th Dec. Based on this info I think there will be not more skype interviews after on Dec 13.

Hope this helps.

Keep in mind, they open up more Skype interview slots as they send out more waves of interview requests. I got my interview request on Oct 25th, and there was no December Skype slots back then. Don't let the number of currently available skype spots be a reason for reduced optimism.

That said, things seems particularly rough for indian applicants at UCLA (maybe all top schools in general). Based chatter, UCLA seems to get a ton of indian applicants. Plus looking at last year, almost all the high GMAT rejects (750+) on gmatclub were from India.

If you PM I can send a screen shot when I get home from work, but the screen does look profoundly different. It's probably based on when you sent the files, not acceptance/rejections, I wouldn't worry too much.

I just received an interview invite, and I submitted back on 15 October. I'm a non-GMAT guy... I took the GRE. There aren't a ton of interview slots. All are the first week of January... Maybe 30 on campus and 25 on Skype.

Hello,

I am an Indian (living in India) / Male applicant and done interviewing in mid of November. As a followup, I also sent my document package and offcial GMAT scores. But the thing that have been worrying me is the "Application Status" says "Incomplete". I emailed the adcom guys. No response yet and it is driving me crazy. Could any of the gurus here help me why the status is saying so? My undergraduate education was in English, hence Degree certificate in native language is not applicable as well. :|

Here is what my dashboard looks like -

APPLICATION STATUS: SUBMITTED

Application Status: Incomplete
Application Fee: Received

Recommendations: Complete
**** (Online): Submitted on ****
Transcripts:
Undergrad: Received (Official)
Grad: Received (Official)

Test Scores:
GMAT: Received (Not Official)

Other Supporting Documents:
Degree certificate in native language: Not Received
Degree certificate translation: Not Applicable
Transcript translation: Not Applicable

Thanks so much in advance.

I had a similar status and decided to ask admissions is some points that also apply to your status.
In relation to GMAT, they received the selfreported scores but not the official ones, despite I sent them long ago. They asked me to double check if the name appearing in the GMAT report was the same than the one in the application. In my case it was not as in the GMAT I did not use my middle name. Once I told them the name in the GMAT report it was solved.
The degree certificate is trickier. I sent them my official transcripts in which they can see that all courses were completed and that I completed the degree but they told me that they needed the original degree or proof that I paid the fees to obtain it.

Hope this helps

Hi, I'm an applicant from India as well, and my dashboard page says "Application Status: Completed on MMDDYY". Now there are two things that look different for you. First, the GMAT scores are not official. Did you have GMAC send it to UCLA? If so, did you choose the right program (Full time MBA), etc? Secondly, the "Degree Certificate in native language" should say received if you sent them an attested copy of your degree certificates (undergrad and grad) along with your transcripts.

As for what to do, I would suggest that you call UCLA Anderson directly at the number that they've given in the interview invitation e-mail. In fact, if you see this post within the next few hours, you should call right away or you'll have to wait till Monday. Their people are really helpful and will tell you what the next step should be. Explain to them about the transcripts only being issued in English and about the GMAT official scores. Hope this helps!
