In my status it says: Application Status: Completed on 11/6/2013 6:56:00 PM

11/6/2013 was like two or three days after they received my documents. So I guess they actually have already done all the document checking many days ago. Now they are updating their checking results to our status. Does it mean anything?

Guess I am a little desperate now...

Hello,

I am an Indian (living in India) / Male applicant and done interviewing in mid of November. As a followup, I also sent my document package and offcial GMAT scores. But the thing that have been worrying me is the "Application Status" says "Incomplete". I emailed the adcom guys. No response yet and it is driving me crazy. Could any of the gurus here help me why the status is saying so? :roll:

My undergraduate education was in English, hence Degree certificate in native language is not applicable as well.

Here is what my dashboard looks like -

Hi, I'm an applicant from India as well, and my dashboard page says "Application Status: Completed on MMDDYY". Now there are two things that look different for you. First, the GMAT scores are not official. Did you have GMAC send it to UCLA? If so, did you choose the right program (Full time MBA), etc? Secondly, the "Degree Certificate in native language" should say received if you sent them an attested copy of your degree certificates (undergrad and grad) along with your transcripts.

As for what to do, I would suggest that you call UCLA Anderson directly at the number that they've given in the interview invitation e-mail. In fact, if you see this post within the next few hours, you should call right away or you'll have to wait till Monday. Their people are really helpful and will tell you what the next step should be. Explain to them about the transcripts only being issued in English and about the GMAT official scores. Hope this helps!

Thanks. Yes, I did call them and the issue is - I didn't send the original undergrad degree certificate. Do MBA schools normally ask for the original to be mailed? My University only issues original copies of transcripts + provisional certificate on request.

I had the same issue. You just need to warn them that you only have one original of the transcripts and/or certificates and they send them back to you after receiving.

I just received an interview invite, and I submitted back on 15 October. I'm a non-GMAT guy... I took the GRE. There aren't a ton of interview slots. All are the first week of January... Maybe 30 on campus and 25 on Skype.

Also just received one. Very excited!

I received one on the 5th too... didn't expect it really.

Hi guys, I found out that the update is manual, which also means that it happens in batches. So for people in the 1st batch the status updates all happened on the same day. So depending on when you had the interview and when they received your original transcripts, your application will be updated. Like I said before, if you've had your interview and have sent your documents more than a week back, just call them and find out. They'll let you know right away about your status regardless of what it says on the web portal.

Hi Guys!

I haven't received any information from them about interview invite or decline. Are they still sending invitations to Indians? Has anyone recently got one?

Secondly does one needs to send them the official documents before they have received their interview invite to complete the documents?

Hi Kumar,

I can answer your second question - the document package needs to be sent once the Interview is done. Then they will holistically review everything to give a decision on the admission.

Super excited! Received my interview invite this morning. Will be interviewing via Skype. Located in Taipei, Taiwan. App Submitted Oct. 22.

Just wanted to share my interview experience.

Interviewed 12/9 and lasted 30-35 minutes.

Interviewed with Adcom, which surprised me since other prospectives in TW I met interviewed with 2nd year students. Makes sense though because right now Anderson students are taking finals.

Discussed the following:

1) Asked me about professional background and how I ended up in current job and other followup questions

2) Why MBA, Why UCLA Anderson?

3) Professional Failure

4) Teamwork example

5) Leadership experience

6) How would I contribute to class and community

7) My questions

Adcom also mentioned that I should make sure to send out required documents, and that Admissions hoped to send out decisions before winter break but after that the latest I would hear back would be the Jan 28 deadline.

If you look at the UCLA MBA Insider's Blog last year they had 2 decision batches sent out for R1 (Dec 18 and Jan23). This year my guess would be decisions on Dec 20 and Jan 28.

For those still waiting for interviews invites, do not lose hope. There is still a good amount of time before that Jan 28 decision date to receive an invite.

For UCLAAnderson, do you need to have the testing agency send official score to the school upon submission or do we wait until we receive initial notification from Anderson before having the testing agency send them?

As per my knowledge, your application is not considered complete if the adcom of UCLA does not receive official score reports from the agency.
