Ie if I sit down and take the GRE or GMAT twice and I focus on ONLY the math section on one try, bombing the verbal
and then a verbal section and bombing the math second time
Anyone know of EXPLICTLY stated policies against this?
I am thinking of taking the GRE for an MSCS but I have to be honest, I dont have the motivation to train for stamina to focus on the verbal which I can score fine in (80%) and might just skip it altogethr so I can do better on my Math sections. I know an admin in a top 3 program who has said he would only consider my Math score for my background.
However if I don't go the MSCS route and work for the next three or so years and apply for an MBA, I'm thinking, I'm prepared RIGHT NOW for the math, if they dont take the best of each section I would have to study basically not so much for knowledge but for mental stamina for the length of the test.
So do schools accept the highest section of each score or only the total?
The answer is that no school accepts split scores, and so the endeavor would not bring anything.
Best,
Jon
