Work ex - 26 months as a sales associate in automobile retail

Few extra curricular like involvement with a ngo regarding water pollution and also a corona warrior certificate last year for helping needy people by providing food

Hi jennifer, i need help in understanding good business schools for candidate with exp of 14 yrs from IT and now looking to enter into business executive roles, i have a decent acad of 75% plus and gmat 750, done several socials, won international competitions, worked in different domains and held managerial positions.

Does the alternate career path asked in some of the B-School essays need to be either aligned with the same function or the same industry as the primary career path?

Not neccesarily. Typically they are looking for Plan B. Plan A should be a stretch, when combining your experience and their MBA will make it possible. Plan B is typically a fall back plan - working in same industry or function but at a higher level or bigger employer... or growing at your Pre-MBA employer.

I do understand for me 1yr mba are best choices but what will be best schools that look for such candidates and can offer scholarships as well

For me plan b is to continue in program / project management in a category firms and plan a is to enter into executive roles in tech firms

I would encourage you wait for 36+ months of work experience at time of application. Most programs are looking for 3 years/ ~2 promotions at time of application.

For a candidate coming from a Software Engineering background, will Consulting post-MBA as Plan A and Product Management in Tech Industry as Plan B make up to the needs of the essay question?

You will be looking at Executive MBA programs - depending on your career growth/experience. If you are looking for Full-time - Stanford MSx is an option as well as MIT or LBS Sloan Fellows.

I would encourage you to look at each school’s Employment Report - this will share the average salary of grads and you can compare it to where you want to live/work post-MBA.

executive program are part time and i cant do that while working here in india, so best option is do full time 1 yr.

So what options are my best bets, considering without scholarship i cant afford higher education.
