It is a ranked programs with flexibility and a fast track to an MBA and Masters Degree (dual degree in 2 yrs). It depends on what you are looking for if it is a good school for you.

1 year programs are terrific for candidates with more work experience as they typically skip the internship experience and some of the specialization. It is certainly a quick option with a faster ROI and less expense.

Does the alternate career path asked in some of the B-School essays need to be either aligned with the same function or the same industry as the primary career path?

Great question. I do not actually know the answer to that question. What I do know are what programs will look at when considering scholarship offers... it typically boils down to how do you boost the profile of the program - higher GMAT/GRE/EA score than the typical admit? Prestigious school? Background diversity - what industry you come from. And if you bring any heavy hitting company names as your employer.
